Should help mitigate some helmet wind noise. Ready for some good riding weather this weekend!

I have one that I added to my M109 and also to my Vmax. Amazing how just that little bit of lift can do wonders for keeping the wind off you chest or moving it above the helmet. Best $15 item that I ever bought for the bike.

This is timely - i was going to ask the forum whether the windscreen is worth the cost...is there a noticeable difference/improvement?

Nice. What brand? Where did you buy it?
Thanks!

IMO the OEM windshield is worth the cost. Functions well and looks good. cueman

Sorry for the delay in response. Hozan is the brand I picked up on Amazon. I haven't had a chance to get up to highway speed so can't say for sure, but seems like it helps just driving around town.

I added one to my list but it was $28rather than $15. Word must have gotten out

Amazon is "fluid" with their pricing. I will try again later and see if it has changed.

Ordered mine on Amazon yesterday. $32CAD, shipping from China included. Could take 6 weeks to get to Montreal.

That is for sure. I said $15, but I actually think I paid more like $12. I also picked up a bag for the rear of my Vmax. I paid $16 for that, but a week later, they had them for around $24. BTW, I got mine on Ebay.

Ride report: Put a couple hundred miles on it today... Helped with wind noise but got optically poor with all of the road gunk (salty water spray)... lowered it to see over the top which defeated its purpose. I am sure it will work well when things are dry and clean.

Did you lower the extender or the stock screen or both? How was wind noise affected at the lower position.

I lowered the extender from the high to the low position... It did increase the wind noise. Changing the angle of extender might be something to experiment with as well.

I was really concerned about the bar-end mirrors and how they might work. I mean, they look great but couldn't really work well. I was WRONG. For me anyway the mirrors are some of the best I have ever had.

I have never been a fan of the bar end mirrors either. But when I bought my 2010 Vmax, it had bar end mirrors on it. They work great. Now I know not to judge a book by the cover.

nice to know that options like screen extenders and mirrors already exist. Now if somebody will just work on panniers and mounts for both sides:pray:

The Hozan brand extender was back ordered 6 weeks at Amazon. This one did not list a specific brand name but looks very similar. At in town speed it is too early to tell how much it reduces wind noise and I have much experimentation on height and rotation. At any rate, Lucky Lizard likes it.

Well, lucky Lizard will have to get over it but I have already removed the extender. I did not like the way it influenced handling in high side winds and at highway speed really did not mitigate wind noise. I will need to try something else.

Regarding CTAC's Hood Accent, that looks like a white Classic Hood Accent and nicely matches the white "chin spoiler". In Canada, the Classic Hood Accent is only offered in yellow, red & black. You can get a white Epic Hood panel which is larger but that's priced at a lofty $240 Cdn. What is your secret?

I`m not really a fan of the font-design of my Ryky .. so I used this one - ist installed very low so I had to cut the lid of the glovebox, but no problem I have to find a way how to shut it with a key ..

I'm thinking of installing one of these Tubular Cam Locks (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01FTAOTYI).

I get too may keys now - so there is a set with 3 Locks for only one key - so I plan to chnage the lock of my side-case and use the other two for the Lid and the Tank ..
