Well I'm glad I worked on my Snow-Blower and got the LED put on …… I started EARLY this AM with re-moving the snow …… Had about 14 inches and still snowing ….. In 2 hrs. I did a bit over 1/3 the area, then took a coffee break and am going back out ( after I refill the Gas tank :yikes::roflblack:) …… Although they predicted it to be windy ( 25 + mph ) I don't think it was more than 5-7 mph ….Thank God for that...… Nothing worse than sno-blowing when it's WINDY :barf:...….Later …. Mike

14 inches .. :yikes:

That same storm dumped about 5 inches here and then they said lake effect snow..I got a dusting after saying we could add another 5-6 inches to the snow we already got..

We did have some wind gust too..

As of now we have a sunny and balmy 7 deg :roflblack:

I always shovel even as it's snowing. My philosophy is I'd rather shovel 4 inches twice then eight inches once. :)

…...UP-DATE …… I'm done for now - I left a 2Ft. high X 2 Ft. thick X 22ft long Barrier at the end of my driveway :yikes:.... I learned a long time ago if I can wait for the State to finish plowing, the wall keeps out the snow from the plowing ….. annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd sometimes they will wing it out for me as they pass by ……. I remember those days. So far...they are staying in the "remembrance" folder.

But I am ready. Neighbor across the road has a plow, and I have a "biggy" snowblower if any comes my way.

Mike,
Get yourself a canopy for the snowblower...

Dumbest things ever made, unless you're 5'6" tall. Even then you can't see out of them half the time. Fogging up on the inside, snow sticking to the outside. There's no wiper blades on those stupid things. Put the goggles on and take it like a man. Hell I don't even use the goggles, it's just snow :D

As they say, this too will pass...

Growing up in Mass I shoveled a lot of snow as a kid. Imagine my excitement while walking to school one day and seeing the guy at the end of the street throwing away his snowblower. It was kind of small and only issue was a sheared drive pin on the axle. Got the parts and fixed it, but it failed again. As a kid, who needs safety stuff. Drilled that ratcheting safety sprocket to the axle and bolted it together. Removed the governer on that tiny 4 horse Briggs, ran a straight pipe aimed away from the snow so it did not deflect snow onto the carb.

Used it for many years and made a bunch of money, until the other neighbor bought a huge snowblower and kind of stymied my bussiness.

Since moving to Florida in 83, I have yet to shovel snow, but can say I have ridden my off road bicycle in snow flurries here in Florida.

Have fun, be safe and enjoy your winter wonderland.

Somethings, I just don't miss. Wife and I got a little chilled on our way back from Yuma, had to stop and put on our leathers and windproof rain gear to block the the cold, good to go..
