I'm guessing with a twist and go throttle, the Ryder does not have a reverse gear huh?

It has a lever on the left to shift it in reverse

You're in the "Can Am Spyjker" area of discussion; so that is the model being discussed...

With the skinnier front tires and lower weight: it's just not needed.

If so they would have to knock down the price a bit more....:roflblack: once worked on a mo-ped from Russia that if it started on a backfire it would run in reverse..:roflblack: was a fun bike and messed with folks wanting a test ride...

It does have reverse, just like an ATV with a CVT has reverse. The driven clutch of the CVT powers a "gear box", a very simple gearbox that has only forward, reverse (selected via a lever above the left foot peg area) and a pin locked, manual "park". The park is neither forward or reverse, but a locked, non movingf position

I'm not Joe, but test rode the 900cc version of the Ryker recently with him. It DOES feel faster than my F3!
