I have very little cycling experience so if this seems elementary to you guys, I apologize. I haven't very many miles on my Spyder, just less than 100 miles and when I am in first gear, usually going through the parking lot where I live or similar situation, I hear a low grinding noise. It is an undulating noise. I am not using any throttle. Do any of you experience this? I ride an 2009 SE5.:helpsmilie:

it's probably gears howling. i have se5 and had/have same problem. it did get less and less as i put miles on. it rarely happens these days (16000m)
brp calls it "normal" i do not if it is but eventually it did go away for the most part

Install a Hindle, wear ear plugs - or both!

If you would also describe it as a low growl, mine does this too with 15,000 miles on it. Had from the get go. Mine's not a grinding noise. I think its the belt tension.
