be interesting to see if this thread gets replies
there are only 5 other active threads dealing with the Ryker.
Guess there's always room for antother just so folks can continue to repeat themselves

If the Ryker is generating conversation: that means that it's getting noticed...
I like it also, and have space in my garage... you can leave it up here with me! :D

Rather than adding a new thread..... I will just add to this one.

For those of you considering the Ryker which version are you thinking about? the 600cc, the 900cc, or the Rally?

For me I would want one of the 900c or rally, but a lot of that will depend on ryding one and the F3 side by side to see which I prefer.

For me... 900cc built the way I would build it came in less expensive than the Rally is. And until I know all the details as to what the Rally has that the regular 900CC Ryker does not, I see no reason to get the Rally for my situation.

Now if we end up learning it has better engine mounts, seals, air-filer system, exhaust mountings, bushings, shocks, multiple performance modes (Like gravel-dirt/snow-ice/sport/eco) and braking as a few examples. Then I would go straight to a Rally. However, at the price point I would think there is realy not much of a difference in the items I just described.

From the Can Am website these are the listed features of the Rally, and while much of what you listed aren't mentioned things like the upgraded KYB suspension that allows for the an extra inch of travel in the shock. The driving modes of ECO, Sport, and Rally as well as the edition of the MAX Mount (for rear seat or extra storage options). They also mention "structural enhancements" but does not specifiy what those are. i agree more info is needed.

Rally Tires

KYB Suspension

MAX Mount

Structural Enhancements

Handguards

Driving modes: Eco mode, Sport mode and Rally mode

Automatic Transmission

Vehicle Stability System

Tool-free UFit system

That sounds like a really nice setup!
Since I'm having such difficulties with my eyes now: my riding (if any); would be limited to the local roads.
We would be seriously looking at the 600cc twin base model.
But we would add:
The comfort seats for both rider and passenger
the rear "sissy bar" for the Missus
the two-up rear spring
the hard saddlebag
The front accent light.

It would still keep us well under 11 grand.

The question now becomes:
Who will be the first to "pull the trigger" on one? :dontknow:

When i have filled out the build it for the Ryker i noticed that it has add 'saddlebag' .. but not 'saddlebags'. Am i understanding it correctly that there is only the option for 1 saddlebag and not a set? .... if this is the case, i would think this will make the bike look lopsided!

Yes, just one saddlebag and it goes on the throttle side of the bike. The open side of the swing arm.

Wylie, :congrats:
As far as the single saddlebag story: the bike isn't meant for long distance multistate trips anyway.

But somebody even caught a video of a "first impression ride"...

Anyone heard when these are supposed to actually be available? I may be in the market for a new ride sooner than I thought....

If that is for sure...gonna be interesting for us folks who think it takes two to "balance" the look. I would not be riding around with one saddlebag. Think of the questions that will generate. :roflblack::roflblack:

Good question. The "new" stuff never shows up here until March/April. They are to busy selling snow machines.

There were a couple shown at dealerships. I think Pitbull had one.

Surely that doesn't mean it is not capable of travelling out of state, afterall it does have a 900cc engine and I am sure people have done it on smaller bikes. The only thing I see that one would have tackle is the comfort level they prefer plus if someone wants to take it on the road in a trailer and ride it once at their destination it seems to be a perfect bike for that scenario. It just seems odd that BRP designed it for only one saddlebag. I also noticed that if you have the passenger seat you lose the ability to add the topcase.

YOu can cross the United States on a scooter if you want to.
But that doesn't mean that there are a whole lot of other vehicles that are better-suited for the undertaking.

My dealer is on the way back but his son said they would have a Demo AND some for sale Mid-Oct? If I like the Demo I would trade my beautiful F3 Below with the S Tupperware and mono-cowl? There are More videos of Acceleration, Cornering cones, and a 5 minute wall around at Pitbullpowersports FaceBook Page that I now follow to see. These are Not on YouTube. The parking brake is a simple pulldown lever-Changing to reverse is a push forward or back lever on the left side-It also shows the whole top in the air to change plugs. Appears to have a SeaDoo Lanyard attachment instead of a key on the left side? The storage is on the very top and about half the F3 but fine for me. One of the videos has the Sport Windshield and a MRA X-creen sport looks like it would fit fine for most. Pending riding it- I Love it!!!!!!!!nojoke

I'm kind of interested in the Ryker myself. I would probably go with the 900cc. I think it would make an excellent scoot around town bike for local or near by trips (100 miles or less) What I would miss though is storage. Kind of hard to hit the local grocery store if you have to hang the plastic bags off the handle bars.
