Just got it back from getting the custom paint and graphics work done.....I had all the silver parts from it being silver/black done in gloss black, had the graphics put on, waiting on the exhaust to get here, the backrest, windshield for farther rides and I might get a new seat....My back starts to hurt after a longer time riding....

Looks real nice!!! If you are having back pains, I would suspect your riding posture is more at fault than your seat. I'd consider the NMN risers, or one of the other available options, first.

Thank you for all the replies....For my back issue, I've had lower back problems ever since 2004 when I tried to be Mr. Macho and break up a bar fight without backup and got jumped by more than 1....I had therapy for a ruptured discs and have had back issues ever since and sitting in the squad all the time with all this gear on doesn't help the situation.....I have the riser block for the steering column.....O well.....I'm sure it might subside after getting use to riding, haven't ridden in 10 years....:2thumbs:

I'm def interested in riding with anyone close to my area, if I'm not working I'm riding the spider around, with my new loud exhaust.....O yeah no I don't get pulled over for it......All the guys at the PD including Chief ride and have loud pipes....:yes:

The BRP riser block may not be enough, you may have to consider a hiher riser. Just a thought. Lots of presure on the back from even a small lean.

Since you already have the 1" riser, I would go with the NoMagicNeon 3" risers. Call Evan to verify the application and discuss options. Their ad is listed with the sponsors on the SpyderLovers home page. Great folks to work with! There are also many posts about the risers, and pictures, here on the forum, including some installation threads, as I recall. Search for "NMN riser".

I had therapy for a ruptured discs and have had back issues ever since and sitting in the squad all the time with all this gear on doesn't help the situation.

I have had two back surgeries and have back spasms frequently. But never as a result of the Spyder. I got the KewlMetal 5" pull backs and the ride is perfect for me

I was at CowTown today having them install my new seat and 12volt outlet and the risers won't work with my riser I already have 3inch under the wheel...Not enough wire to reach the handlebars...O well...I bought a new seat I'll put the pictures on the first post of mine under my exhaust ones....Loving it....I'm gonna head to Spi Illinois tomorrow after I get my coats from UPS and my throttle lock.....On one of the pictures is me with my paintball jersey shirt on, that is what I had the guy paint on the bike, So i'll prolly be wearing that shirt as a momento when i ride......<Flex>:firstplace:

Wasn't aware that BRP offered a 3" riser now. We have their 1" riser, and I thought that was all that was available. New introduction? The NMN risers will work with their 1" for most Spyders, but the wires and cables may need to be rerouted to reach.

Not sure, it's a silver block that goes under the handlebars to raise it up 3 inches....then of course you can get the risers for the billet handles.....

Either BRP has come up with a different riser or your shop has put some other riser that works in your Spyder. The standard BRP riser is one inch taller than the stock handlebar mount and its made of the same cast metal, black or dark gray in color.

Certainly does sound like a new accessory, either BRP or aftermarket. I thought your bars looked quite high in the pictures, but figured maybe it was an optical illusion. A riser block that bolts on under the handlebars would be much different than the original BRP riser that was a new mounting flange, with slines to fit over the steering shaft. It would be nice to learn the details on this piece.

Hope you find an alternate solution to your back woes.

my Chief mentioned putting red/blue lights on it and using it on patrol, but I doubt the city will make my payments and pay gas and insurance for me to use it...lol....Lemme go take a pic of the block and post it for ya....

I got them directly from KewlMetal (http://www.kewlmetal.com/Default.aspx?tabid=30&mastercategoryid=1&subcategoryid=20). Thy also have 7" but I thought they would be too much. Don't know how you could tell though unless you could actually test them.

If you get them, you have to replace the center console
