Congrats! I was wondering how the take off and passing power compares between the RT with the 1330 and the 2017 and up F3 Limited? I know with my 2016 F3T, there was a significant difference, but that is because if the lighter weight and larger sprocket. But with the later models F3 Limiteds having the same size sprocket as the RT, I wondered if there was that much of a difference. Just courius.

It may be a little quicker because it's lighter. But not much. It corners way better and has better power steering than the 15 RTS.

I was never really that comfortable on the RTS. My legs would cramp up a lot. And my knees would hurt in that position. Also felt like I would always lean toward the handlebars. I've always had cruisers before.
In that position I feel more relaxed. Nothing wrong with an RT if you feel good on it. They are a smoother ride. The F3 is more of an exciting ride to me. Also with syderpops trunk extender there is more passenger space then the RT. From the back of my backrest to the passenger backrest is 14 1/2 "

Very sharp looking trike, love the color. Best of luck with it. How do you like the F4 wind shield??

It's very nice and optically clear. The only drawback is that they didn't extend the plastic past the mounting hardware. So there is a gap there. My hands get a lot of wind and get cold in the morning's. Also makes it look weird. Kinda unfinished. I tried looking for top mirror wings like the RT has but only find lower mirror wings.

JP58 (http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/member.php?4260-JP58), I see in your sig that you have a riser is a 2". Did it help with the comfort level and relieve the stress on the arms and hands.

This is EXACTLY how I feel about mine as well. Just bought it about six weeks ago after riding two wheels for ~5 years. I can't get enough of this ride. I hope it never wears off.

Definitely a nice ride.
My wife just picked her 2018 F3T up last Friday as well.

Yes it does. Very comfortable now only problem is I couldn't get the bars to stop slipping. The lower is tight. That one's ok. The bars have no kwerling. So I drill a hole in each cap and tapped. Put one 1/4 x 3/4 Allen head bolt in each cap centered so it won't slip.

JP58 (http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/member.php?4260-JP58), Thanks for the reply. As you can see from my avatar I picked up an F3L same color as yours. Two things that bother me. The handle bar reach and the brake pedal height. So I will try the Rox riser. I also see where I can relocate the mounting hole on the brake rod which will lower the pedal height, we'll see. I'm also thinking about a new wind screen, lots of choices, I want to be sure before I order one. Looks like you have a vent in yours. How do you like using it?

Windshield is F4 customs. Very clear and no buffeting. I'm 5'9" 30 inseam. I look thru it about 2" below top. Can clean with paper towels and window cleaner. You can also get the short reach handelbars. Lamonster has a brake lowering rod for position 3,4,5.

The specs for the 2019 F3L lists "Automatic self leveling rear suspension".
Does the 2018 F3L have this same feature?
Thanks, Rick

I really like this spyder. I love the personality of the F3 over the RTL but my wife liked the passenger seating better on the RT, hence my RT. It would be my spyder of choice if I were the only opinion. Chris

Funny...I just traded my 2015 RT-S for an 18 F3L in the exact same color...blue and dark. Absolutely love it! So much more comfortable after moving the boards to position 5, long reach bars, 19 inch windshield and Lamonster brake rod that drops the brake pedal down. I just ordered the top case extender to move it back 5 inches from Spyderpops too. It's night and day compared to the RS.
