As soon as you see the gauges sweep you can hit the mode button and start it. You do not have to wait for the message.

Yep come to think of it Ann, that is true. So nice with the 16 or later F3 series, I don't even recall seeing it!

I have always "liked" the delay. That's when the gloves go on and the helmet gets adjusted.

I always hated the delay and pleased that I don't have wait anymore. They should do away with the press mode button as well. The whole safety card thing was a dumbass idea from the beginning.

If you're an ATGATT rider the delay is meaningless, I flip the key on as I approach the bike, by the time I'm getting helmet and gloves on I've hit the mode button, and then I still gotta fiddle with the phone and the GPS, and the heated socks and the vent zippers and the tinted visor and the ..... Just kidding.. don't kill me....
I just can't figure out why my '17 (keyless, push button) Escape can be started instantly and it's got way more electronics than our Spyders.

You don't want to use a spyder as a get-a-way vehicle after doing a bank holdup. :roflblack:

You just keep telling yourself that. Those of us who no longer have to wait know better.

I will, and I do. :roflblack::roflblack: Not worth $15K+ to fix it. Same reason I don't buy a new one every time a see a color or a feature that I "gotta have."

I am learning to live with what I got. :roflblack::roflblack:
