I see where it is recommended to change spark plugs at 28,000 miles in the 1300 engine. I know in my Goldwings it said about the same but I ran them 50,000 miles and the plugs still look good. Do most people on here change their's at 28,000 miles? I have order plugs, HCM transmission filter and a set of front and rear brake pads which I plan to change around the 28,000 miles. I have changed the air filter to a K&N filter at 19,900 miles.

Is there any videos on here showing how to change the spark plugs on a 2015 Can Am Spyder? I have not been able to find anything. Maybe it is not hard to get to them.

i did my plugs @ 45,000 miles of smiles, and the old ones still looked great, 5th pic....

took me 2 days, 5 hrs each day, and although i enjoyed it, i would never do it for a friend... you need to take the entire top of an F3 off, including the left head-lite.... and that air-box... OMG, what a mess... i still have 2 screws that i have no idea where they came from... i thought i filled every hole....

here are some pix:

i would also recommend that you change the FUEL FILTER at the same time, since the top will be off, and that in itself is a bear to get at....
hope this helps...

It is probably about the same on an RT. I think I will wait for a few more miles before I change mind. I have already changed the fuel filter 19,900 miles. Thanks for the information.

We changed tgem on my 14 at 50,000 miles and they were still good. Dealer changed them again at 118,000 when it was in for the clutch bearing. I don’t remember it being all that difficult to change them. I’m sure there was some swearing and bloody knuckles but the memory has faded.

Do you have the service manual? If not, get it. It's well worth the $30 for the download from canammanuals.com.

The manual procedure starts out by removing the frunk.

I have Tech Spark Studio CD it probably shows it. I have had the frunk off once which was no big thing. Does it have to come off to change the plugs?
