Not true.

The new bike item is not going to be shown until September...there are NONE on the road.

Just like the Spyder was a well-kept secret, there aren't any of the new bikes being ridden around.

The BRP/Can-Am rep I was talking with on Saturday said there are a lot of changes but even staff is unaware of what they will be.

The research facility is in Florida and only designers know what is going on. Very few have access to the R&D department.

It might not even be a three-wheeler, although it's most likely to be!

If even the staff don't know what's going on, how can we know that your rep knows when or where the rumored touring Spyder will be out on the road? :dontknow:

:D Just kidding bro. I agree with your rep and I would believe its more likely that an owner modded his Spyder to what he thinks the touring Spyder will be.

Looks ugly. I wouldn't want that one. I think the removal back support is much better looking design. This one is getting to the point of gauddy.

Looks like someone attacked it with a Goldwing brush. Yuk.

but, the touring look is what it is.

Just look at the Victory Vision. (http://thekneeslider.com/archives/2007/01/21/victory-vision-v-twin-touring-bikes/) Not everyones cup 'o tea. I despised it when I first saw it, but now...I am rather fond of it.

That picture is a PhotoShoped picture of a Spyder and a Wing but the RT is not far from that.

Hey Lamont, Have you heard that they are changing out the 990? This would really suprise me on a 3rd year bike....I think the 990 motor is a great powerplant for this platform. :dontknow:

>>>>>what I thought a Touring Spyder should be. Of course it would need the ****pit enhanced with the goodies, music, phone, navigation, etc.

My choice is the "enhanced Sport touring", just full weather protection and decent hard bags without a reat trunk. I really got spoiled with my Pacific Coast before the doctor took it away from me! Iktome has most everything I need now that I have a decent windscreen. The trunk IS a bit lacking so the new BRP/Givi saddle bag setup and Ultra touring screen is right on for me.

Now I consider it was a major fault of BRP NOT to supply a Lovebug proof windscreen from day one. I feel they should sell me the new ultra and give me a VERY genreous trade on my CalSi that I was forced to buy for the interm. I bet that will go over big with them!!

As with the Victory Vision, the Corbin Bags are starting to look too much like Buck Rodgers.

That's an RT prototype. Sure there is a chance that your friend of a friend saw one - but it most certainly was not owned by anyone.

I took your post as that someone claimed it was their bike. Most stories that are 3rd hand end up leaving out various important details - to no fault of yours---- just the way things work.

Maybe someone from the Spyder Team was on an RT prototype.

Oh, geez.

The BRP products are not road-tested in public...period. I heard this from the BRP rep. and from a different BRP rep when I first got my bike.

They're not going to risk ruining the surprise by riding the bike around in a group...

The release is in September...that is the first time anyone will see the actual product.

So, that begs the question....is this a prototype? I don't think so...
So, what the heck is it? When was the picture taken? They could be doing some minor cosmetic changes to throw people off and what's actually different is the engine, which is not visible...

Who knows? They were great with keeping the Spyder secret...they'll do the same with the new product...

Here's one of the very first spyshots of the original Spyder.....note the date of the article, 12/14/06....well before the official unveiling in Feb. of '07.

Sorry Bro but you're wrong, our Spyder was spotted in 2006 and the picture was taken at Deals Gap.

This photo looks exactly like the RT ad that was released to the public and BRP asked that it would be removed from all the Spyder message boards. This is the RT and it was taken by the public. They had this section of the road closed so BRP could do their photo shoot but they didn't have it closed enough.;)

I'm pretty sure deep down BRP is glad this got leaked so they could see the public response before they go to market. :doorag:

You should probably apologize to everyone who was trying to post credible info... whom you threw under the bus earlier. IMO
