I haven’t seen anything on here about the fact that the Freedom trailer is no longer available. Has anyone heard anything about a replacement?

I think you may have your trailers switched. The freedom trailer is the replacement for the BRP 622 trailer that was discontinued in 2014 I believe. As far as I know, the freedom trailer is still available.

I have been trying to buy a ne Freedom trailer. My dealer said that his Can Am rep said they are no longer available. There is only one Freedom trailer at all dealers in MN according to BRP customer service.

Maybe 14 trailers all across the country (and only 10 later than 2016) is “all over.” Have your dealer try to order one and let me know what happens.

When they announce the new trailer in the fall, you heard it here first.

If you needed a reason to go to Spyderfest I’ll give you three. That is three Freedom trailers that will be given away.

Well, I just bought one. Yes, it has been at my dealer for awhile (old new stock) but I got a great deal on it. And if they are not making them anymore, I'm glad i got one.

On that page they list everything but the trailer. All accessories for the trailer but no trailer. However if you go to the build your model, under accessories they list the trailer for 3199.99

We just ordered a Lumina xl trailer today. Theres just something about chrome and diamond plate that is so nice. Been looking at them awhile and for 1400 dollars verses 4000 dollars I couldn't pass it up. Plus got free shipping and a cover for it.

Thanks Billy! At the time I saw the thread I didn't want to go the building route. I don't carry enough stuff for a trailer.

But, if you had a trailer, you could find a way to pretty much fill it up...... Just ask my wife.

That's the way my wife is. She can fill a trailer up on a 2 day weekend trip. Plus I tend to over pack also. Its nice all the extra stuff just in case something happens. Plus if we ride with friends they may need some extra space to store some stuff also. Its nice to have at times

We've been out on several rides with the spyer, but for 2 years in a row now we have done an 18 day excursions. Everything we need we can fit on the RT. BUT, there is no room for anything else. And last year we were in Las Vegas, stuck on a hwy. I could the hotel (Treasure Island) that we were going to, but traffic was stopped dead. The temp gauge on the bike read 52 deg c. And we had no where to put our riding jackets.

Both trips we survived, but I would like a little more room, that's why we bought the trailer this winter. I am going to TRY to keep the wife from over packing before we go. But i just want the option to remove some outerwear along the way.

Also bought a 3L jerry can for the tongue of the trailer, that alone will give me some reassurance as the first year, by my calculations, we were less than 4 miles from being completely out of gas on the trip.

I was at my dealer today picking up a hitch kit for my 2015 RT. I asked him if the Freedom trailer is available from BRP and he said no as he recently tried to order one. I also asked him if the RT hitch kit is available from BRP and he said no, but he had five in stock.

He said BRP has not released any information about a new trailer that may be coming. He suspects they will, but no info has been shared with the dealers.

So...here is a chance for BRPcare to step in with an OFFICIAL answer.

If I was in the market...so far...none of the answers seem to have answered the OP's question. Sorry about that Alfred.

Has the Freedom Trailer been discontinued?????????????????

I bought a new-old stock freedom trailer from our dealer. I am picking it up next Fri. 2 weeks ago I had my dealer order a hitch for my 2017 RT-s. No problem getting it in from BRP. They are installing the hitch Fri, then i am bringing home the trailer once they install it.

To be honest, I would have rather had a 622. but none anywhere near me to buy. I made a good deal on the freedom trailer, basically got the hitch for free.

Not to be noisey but how much does a freedom trailer cost. I know some trailers cost 3 or 4 thousand dollars.

I just bought a 2018 RTL and this my 3rd . I tried buying the Can Am trailer through my dealer , and the factory told him they are currently not supplying any more trailers at this time , but might be in the future . I started scouting out the dealers for one . I then got the rebate certificate for 2000.00 . Then found one in the Tampa fl. area , but he then told me that I could not use the rebate on the trailer as it was a titled item and could not use the rebate . . I then found a new one in the Atlanta Georgia area at a Can AM dealer , and the salesgirl said that I could use the certificate . So I then went up to Georgia and bought it for about 1500.00 . Thank you Can Am .:yes::yes: My advice to you is to scout the dealers , first the closest , then moving farther out . Even if you find a 2017 , 2016 , 2015 etc , in good shape , that would work . Meerkat

That's kinda what I figured. I think the last trailer I bought was $1600'00 At a goldwing rally. But that was 14 yrs ago.
