In all seriousness: I think that pictures shows the results of a 70 mph impact test with the little Smart Car.

I believe they decided that if there had actually been people in that car: they had a pretty good chance of surviving the impact.

Interesting.

I cannot get my mind around owing a car that small. When it comes to :spyder2:'s and Motorcycles--I have no problem. What gives. :dontknow::dontknow:

The :spyder2: is bigger. I have been up close and personal to one while riding the :f_spider:.

I was tempted to ask the driver if they needed another flint. :roflblack:

Don't be too hard on the Smart Cars.

Without them in the market, our tire selections would be FAR worse....

If I drove a Smart Car I would be so embarrassed I would have to wear this mask

 I feel kind of bad for the "Guy in the bucket"... :yikes:

Back in the 70's when trick or treating on Halloween was still in vogue: My eldest son, who was a Kindergartner, got sick during the trick & treating. Yup! He barfed in his mask. It was sad and we did appear to be sympathetic and helpful--while holding the laughter in. It just struck me as funny at the time. The kid lived, and he ended up with a nice bag of treats.

If it's only 'kind of bad...' that you feel for the "Guy in the bucket" Bob, then you obviously never got to spend more than a week living in your full Nuclear, Chemical, & Biological Protective gear & breathing apparatus while sucking canned air and working frantically under 'NBC Condition Compromised & Imminent Ship Sinking' conditions!!

'Kind of bad...' really doesn't get close to how absobloodylutely miserable but completely unavoidable & inescapable living thru that can be!! :barf: Oh No!! Wrong choice of words!! :yikes: & :barf:again! :opps: ..... It's amazing just what traumatic memories even otherwise perfectly innocent words like 'void' can bring up when you think back on this sort of stuff!! :yikes: There's none of this 'just ducking out for a comfort break' stuff even vaguely possible... so yeah, it's 'Watch on, Stop on, & do it where you stand IN what you're wearing!' (& btw, what you're gonna be wearing for quite a while yet!!) :banghead:

Her hair is frizzy. She needs a good conditioner.
