It's an ongoing environmental issue. Replenishible natural resources (fish) vs. non replenishible (ores). We have the same thing going on with the proposed Pebble Mine (gold) vs. the Bristol Bay fishery.

Drilling for oil (ANWR) vs. the caribou herd is another ongoing one.

For me, its six of one, half dozen of the other. I am staying out of the "official" argument.

I like fish and I like good jobs for the economy. Here, they try to make you pick and choose. :dontknow::dontknow:
