My nephew shared this with me. I don't think I will be doing that modification.

The subject of riding Spyders in the snow does come up from time to time. Some of us have seen the kit.
General Information:
Manual states not to operate :ani29: in the snow. Rear wheel slips and front wheels act like plows. I got stuck in my driveway the first year (2008).
Adding studded tires--does not work here. Dealer tried that one. One ride from Wasilla to Eagle River and the plan was shelved.
The :spyder2: just does not track well on ice and snow. You are also begging to get into a demolition derby. Lots of truck and SUV's on the road--and just being there--you take your chances. From a safety standpoint--I would not recommend it.
Seth from MN would disagree with me. He posted winter driving videos on Northern roads in 2010.
I would recommend getting a snow machine and stay off the highways.
