​I just saw on Pinterest pins that show Spyders with outrageous front and rear wheels on them. How do they do it and bypass the wheel sensors so it does not throw fault codes, and go into limp home mode? I do not plan on doing anything like this to my F3S, I am happy the way it is. Wanted to throw the question out there.

When you say 'BIG', do you mean big as in 'larger diameter' or big as in fat, or a whole lot wider?? :dontknow:

I don't think you'd fit anything much larger in dia OR fatter on the back without doing significant mods due to the two sided swing arm restricting the space available back there; but up front, sticking a fatter wheel on without disturbing the sensors is easy... just not too good for the power steering tho!! It doesn't like having to work at turning anything too much wider than OE width tires! :lecturef_smilie:

There again, given enough impetus & sufficient $$, there's not really too much that's absolutely impossible to do, IF someone really wants it to happen?! :rolleyes:

a computer guru friend told me a while back that you can go into the ECU and change things.... how? you ask... i have no idea... you may want to call BROWARD MOTORSPORTS and ask them how they do it....
here's 2 examples... saw these at the BIKETOBERFEST @ Daytona Speedway back in 2011...

:ohyea: The tires they are using ...are probably 35 aspect tires .... the Kenda's are 55 aspect tires ..... so they are probably the same circumference or close enough for the Nanny to say it's OK ..... PS , the nanny reads the rear tire only .......... Mike :thumbup:

The look on these bykes is nice but I am not sure that I would want to Ryde one, no strike that I am sure of it.

If the sensor input is coming off the rotor or hub it won't mater what size the tires are as long as they are equal ratio in sensor outputs,. by theory one could put John Deere tractor tires (if they had the room) one (1) revolution might travel twice the distance but as long as all rotor-hub sensors turned at the same speed the distance of the ground covered won't matter.

I bought my wheels all three are the same size. no adj to nanny. yes I love the looks but now my bike is more stable in the turns.

All three are 20 inch wheels with a custom pulley. Yes the bike is higher off the ground .

They may look nice. But the bad part is the Tire is only half as thick as standard tires. So when they start going flat you need to get off the road faster and get stopped. I saw one run plum off the rim one day on a BMW. Not a pretty site when the rim was grinding off on the pavement at 65 miles per hour and the Tire is passing the vechicle going down the highway.
