Has anyone replaced this filter at 104.00 for it. At 28K needs to be replaced. Anyone done it? No comments that can be found surching for this part and was it a bear to get to and replace?

Is it a MUST at 28K for warranty?

Thanks

Thanks for the info. Will go to Utube for it.
I find many hits for oil,gas ect but not for this one. Evey manual I find on line has a different name and CanAms part number fails to be valid even on there site.

If you mean the transmission filter for the 1330, Bajaron sells them. It’s on the right side of the engine toward the bottom.

Oil Filter and Cover Ass'y
PN 420211156 (http://www.cheapcycleparts.com/oemparts/p/can_am/420211156/oil-filter-and-cover-assy)
104.99
But have seen them listed a transmission filter, And pointing to the cartridge filter, wrong item.
I think I have found the part at Rons store but before spending 100 bucks on a "filter" want to be 100% sure it's correct and not a dealer only type of install needed special tools to get to it.

I have done a few. Its no big deal to change. Just remove bolts from cover, remove bolts from filter, remove and replace, replace bolts and clean up. Best done with an oil change service.

And yes, you really do need to change it.

The filter you are referring to is on a main engine component, the clutch cover assembly. The filter is for the hyrdaulic control module, HCM, that controls the engagement of the clutch.

Please tell us exactly which Spyder you have . There are two answers depending if you have a 998 or a 1330.
