BJT - what is the name brand of the bag on Deb's bike? Does it work well as a back rest? is it waterproof?

I am thinking about getting the Russell seat and the bag looks like a perfect fit. (with the stock seat I feel like I'm straddling a barrell )
Thanks
Monique

That is called a bikerfriend and it is intended to double as a backrest. bikersfriend (http://www.bikersfriend.com/) According to their site they are waterproof too. Have had it in light rain but no heavy stuff yet but it seems like it will do the trick. I love it as a backrest for cruising and I can keep my raingear and things I need quickly right there.

thank you !
We'll be camping as we ryde on weekends this summer - camping in a tent, that is, not the RV (ouch !) so I need more room for my "creature comforts". Looks like this will be the perfect size.

dltang has the large size on her Spyder. I have one that is XL. The only difference is about two or four inches in length. The XL fits better IMO as it fits just between the passenger grab bar handles while the large leaves a few inches between the bag and the handles. The bags can double as a backrest as the core is made of 10" or 12" diameter plastic pipe that is really solid. It holds a full face helmet. Then they put some velcro on the cover and on a pad that is used for the backrest. That allows a fair amount of position tweaking to fit multiple body shapes on multiple bikes. Their attachment system allows quick install and removal and you can use this on multiple bikes with multiple mounting points. Its a pretty simple but ingenious design (the best kind.) :D
