Not going to happen! Can't think of any other production 3 wheel models that have the leaning capability!

there is truly no advantage to have the wheels lean.... the only thing it would accomplish, would be to raise the price by a few thousand dollar$.....

I lean towards keeping things as they are........at least for the setup as it is now. That does NOT preclude improvements where they are needed. And we all know that there is room for improvement!

Piaggio (Vespa) in Europe and Honda and Yamaha in Asia make leaners but in all three cases they are smaller then our Spyders.

They need to keep making changes or be left behind or worse:yikes: go under

The b.lack and gold would be only the 10th year edition. May be other colors for the rest...could be a rim change but not much else visable. As for leaning...it would be costly. Most three wheel leaners featured from time to time have just a skeleton. No frunk, no VSS, skinny motorcycle rear wheel (but then you would need that if leaning) the others are all scooters, besides which I really like the spyder for what it is..:2thumbs:

if BLACK/GOLD is all they have, their sales will suffer as they have with the DAYTONA model...
BRP give us something NEW.... 1800cc, a turbo-charged version, turn the key and GO like the cops have, a back rim that you can get at the air-valve without being a contortionist... GIVE US SOMETHING NEW... :lecturef_smilie: :banghead: :gaah:

The fast start code was added to all spyders from 2015 and newer. No need to wait for the nanny to phone home any more. Turn key and when gauge sweep is done, press mode and then start. Display will finish booting on its own time afterward.

Some strong hints from some BRP folks that something is coming.....they will not reveal what it is at this time but I am "guessing" there could be an entry level Spyder on the horizon, maybe below the $15,000.00 mark. There will obviously be more colors in all lines than the Black Gold, or that would not be a limited edition so time will tell!

Absolutely untrue that there is no advantage. I'm not saying they should or shouldn't do it, as I'm sure it'd be a reason to raise the price, and by doing it on only some models, they'd kinda be admitting the old way is inferior in some way. How would they promote it? Safety standpoint?

RE: Black as a part of the color scheme. Yes--this is the adopted color with gold trim on the 10th anniversary editions.

The first black came out in 2010 as a Premier Edition RTS. The next year, the color black was relegated to the "entry level." Subsequent years have shown black as entry level machines.

I think its time for a "new" color offering for top of the line stuff. :dontknow::dontknow:

Black also seem to be the "lowball" offering color on most other brands.

Honda is working on a leaning three wheeled bike. It's called the Neowing. Not much is known about it but it uses a flat 4 cylinder engine, like the older Gold Wing.
Knowing Honda it should work well.
Piaggio makes a leaning production bike, two wheels in the front. I've seen them but they're a little on the small side. Only a 500cc 2 cylinder.

I had the Piaggio MP3 400 for a while. It works well. But it's only a maxi scooter.

Also have a look at tiltingmotorworks.com They will (for $9,995 and up) convert a Gold Wing or a Harley to a two wheel tilting (leaning) front end. 36 inches wide measured from the center of each front wheel. However, you lose most of your ABS features because they haven't figured that out yet.

I was wondering the same thing. Last year the reveal was in Orlando on 8/16. Still waiting for the 2018 reveal.
It's possible that the new model rollout will be delayed. We were told during Homecoming that the Spyder production line is being dismantled and rebuilt as a flexible line, so I think it's possible it won't ready in time for the usual rollout time. This is, of course, pure speculation on my part. They plan to use the new line to assemble Ski Doos in the summer and Spyders in the winter. Up until now it has been idle during the summer.

My bet is the Oxford Blue that is currently only on the F3S becomes available on the F3T. The dash/radio system is way overdue for an overhaul.

We could also wish for the elimination of the metal key and DESS system with the addition of an RFID system like Harley has had since 2007 and every major auto maker now uses.

I can still hope for MORE POWER but they likely will ignore me.

We already know there is a new wheel style to be available and likely in something other than gold paint.

I can see it costs a lot of money for a new body style or something along those lines. Personally I think some of these would be cool:
- New model: Stretched version, 6" longer wheel base with longer seat. I'm a big guy and it gets cramped two up on long hauls.
- Turn the LCD into a real interface like cars? A 6" - 7" touch screen with GPS & bluetooth built in. You can connect both helmets to it for intercom, phone, etc. You would only touch it setting up GPS.
- Turn the analog gauges into power, or several optional items (mounting cup holder, USB interface to your phone, etc.)
- Pre-drilled and capped spot(s) on handlebars for mounting systems
- More better options! Instead of being money grubbers, use the fan base market to add to your catalog. You'll get your cut! Bumpskids, XGrips, LED kits, Sway bar, the cool rims, etc. And the one I appreciate the most working on my spyder - Magic Mirrors Mounts! Tore up way too many cheap plastic pieces.

Things that don't require hardware:
- With the 1330 settled in for a few years now with most kinks worked out, how about a better warranty?
- BRP sponsored events with extended hands on & test drives
- BRP sponsors technicians to go to Canada and get certified. Way too many people complaining their service department lacks in depth training or knowledge. For the cost of a plane ticket and two weeks hotel, you can drastically increase the customer service across the globe.

2 yr warranty is pretty standard in the motorcycle business I think. The BEST extended warranty is pretty cheap really and that gives you a full 5 yrs. Not bad in my opinion.

Personally I think an easy thing BRP could do that wouldn't cost them a lot of money is upgrade their creature features (standard). Specifically, the speedo/info area, blue tooth connections, GPS, radio, heated grips, cruise, options like sport, rain mode. Things that are pretty standard on 2 wheel bikes in the same price range. It's just electronic/programming changes....easy money.

That said. Until they release a bike that has the sport riding position (not cruiser sport......just say no to the F3 riding position(s)) I'll be saving my $ for other toys.

I personally have no problem with the standard 2yr warranty and then purchase additional years. Trouble is, BRP limits coverage to 5yrs. I understand that limit for the early bikes but they really have gotten much better. I think BRP should have it actuaries look at repair cost rates for years 6 and 7 for the 1330 bikes and offer longer BRP Best plans. The aftermarket already is but much more diffecult to deal with aftermarket warranties.

I think there is real money for BRP to make here.
