Two more new Spyder ryders in Arkansas! Wife rides a 2011 RT and I just switched from a conventional trike to an F3 Limited (bought it at Pit Bull). We have just moved from Austin, TX to Hot Springs Village, AR (in May). We love it here and enjoy riding these Arkansas roads!
Hope to meet some of you guys and gals as we settle in to being Ar-Kansans (did I say/spell that right??). Have met riders from GWRRA chapter here in HSV and enjoy having someone to ride with.

:welcome: and :congrats: on your :ani29::spyder2:'s.

Would you share some pictures if you have them?

Have a brother and sister in law in NW Arkansas. He still drives a two wheeler and is not into :spyder: yet.

I've only been here ten years, but from what I've read and heard, the locals prefer Arkansawyers.

I had heard the TV new people call residents Ar-Kansasan, so thought that might be it. It was so much easier to be a "native Texan".....

Yep, already been to SpyderPops, took the wife's RT in for oil change and checkup, he did a great job and was honest about what we should, and should not do, to our "roadsters" (I was corrected that these are not trikes, they are roadsters). Will be taking the new F3 in for it's first followup once I get to 3000 miles.
Yes, met Cruzr Joe there as he was test-riding a new F3 Limited for Bradfordmarine (his job?, that's what I need to do!)
No, don't go to the casinos, can't afford it after buying an new F3, especially since I haven't sold my old trike yet! Doesn't mean we won't drop by for a visit someday......

As you can tell, I don't know how to do multiple quotes for replies, one of these days I will learn. So here are the pictures for proof! First one is of the wife on her Viper Red 2011 RT, second is of me leaving Pit Bull Motorsports for the ride home after my F3 purchase (ended up riding 200 miles in the rain going home that day!), third one is of the garage, yes it is quite full of roadsters and a trike (you can see my orange custom trike in the foreground, it's for sale). Fourth is just a side shot of the F3.

Now I have to change pictures! Wife upgraded her red 2011 RT, to an orange (excuse me, that's Cognac, I stand corrected by the wife) 2014 RT Limited. She said she sure likes her new ride!

Welcome to Arkansas. I live in the northeast portion of the state. Not many curvy roads around here for my Spyder.

Thanks for the welcome to the Natural State!
Well, we have found out that there are a lot of trikes out here in Arkansas! Most of them are in the GWRRA clubs. We joined the local club, GWRRA Eagle Wings in Hot Springs Village, as Associate members (since we ride Spyders), and ride with them quite a bit.

Jan and I have also started our own little riding group, called Trike Time Arkansas and we have a Facebook page for our future rides. Jan and I will be off the trikes until the first of the year, as we are both dealing with leg issues (me-injury from a fall on my right knee that has turned serious, Jan-having double knee replacement on Nov. 6th).

So check us out on the Facebook site and see when we make it back "in the saddle" again!

Hi OJ - I've ridden with you and Jan in the Chapter E group in Hot Springs Village. Traded my 2009 Suzuki M50 in on the Spyder, which we pick up in Springfield this Friday and will trailer home. We kept our second 2009 Suzuki M50. Hoping Judy will now get back into riding. I don't have Facebook but Judy does. How do we access your new group page? Hope you guys heal well and quickly. Great, John! Welcome to the Spyder connection in HSV......the Facebook page is at https://www.facebook.com/TrikeTimeArkansas/
or you can just go to Facebook and search for Trike Time Arkansas. Jan and I are still down for the count until about the first of the year, so there won't be much on the page but pictures from our rides here in Arkansas. I'm still recovering from surgery on my right leg and Jan just had double knee replacement on Monday.
Good luck with the Spyder, let me know if you have any questions that we might be able to answer. Jan loves her RT and I love my F3, so we have both angles covered! Post some pictures when you get the bike! My number is 512, nine one three, 4567, email is oj.bigjuice@gmail.com.
When you are in Springfield, tell Buck I said hello!
Ride safe!

Said hello to Buck for you. Judy was practicing at Balboa parking lot today. Steve Didion rode his 2017 Spyder over with his cones to help her practice. He would be interested in riding with us once the two of you are back up and running. Walt Draeger and his wife, and Dan Gruben, ride a Spyder with the Gold Wing group and might be interested in riding with us. Steve and I were talking about getting a group together for Spyderfest in 2018. I rode it through the Village yesterday and today and am rapidly getting used to it. I hope to get her out on the road this week. We leave for NY and VIR a week from today (by car).

Cool! Tell Judy to keep at it and don't give up! Jan will love to talk to her when she gets home and walking again. She is still in rehab for another week or so. We plan to make the Polar Bear run on Jan 1st hopefully! Ojisbj at gmail or 512 nine one three 4567.

...when we are there in October next year. Stay at Wilhemina Lodge, eat, ryde, sleep, repeat. Some nice roads in that area. I'll be back to see what interest there may be next October.

I broke a bolt head off trying to adjust the right passenger foot rest. Tried 3 hardware stores and Lowes but no luck finding a fully threaded bolt. Also, getting the "low battery" message intermittently even after putting a battery charger on it overnight. Have an appointment at Spyderpops after we get back from traveling in early December. Still trying to register it in AR. It had a KS title. Been to liscense center 3 times and now saying dealer didn't sign off correctly. Dealer said will fix it and pay fine. Couldn't get the GPS to work for more than 10-15 seconds - have a new battery on order. Still haven't figured out how to make the multi-function gauge stuff work. Been a really frustrating process. Did transition Judy's Suzuki M50 to all the stuff off of my old one so I have that to ride until I can get all the Spyder stuff resolved.

Hey Rob! Glad to hear from you and Cheryl! We are loving the area we live in and look forward to many rides through this beautiful country. Jan and I are trying to get ourselves healed again and look forward to 2018 and a big riding year. And of course, we are loving our roadsters (I call them trikesters!)!

And to Jim......we look forward to all the rides available up here! We have already been to Mt. Magazine, saw the view and ate at the lodge, what a great place. Haven't been to Queen Wilhemina State Park, but will put in on our radar for a future trip after we get road worthy again. We will be interested in a get together anytime after the first of the year, so keep us in touch with any ideas and time lines..........

John, sorry to hear about all the problems you are having. I encourage you to go to Harvey at SpyderPops and he can get it taken care of. I trust him totally. He has more than taken care of my wife's RT and my F3, that's the only place I will take it.....unless I have to do warranty work, then I don't know where I will take it......

Thanks all for the input and let's keep it up and get a Spyder group going here in the Village.....

I have an appointment for December 12th at Spyderpops. We bought a cable to plug in the GPS that came with the RT and a new battery for it. It doesn't seem to run for more than a few seconds. W took it on our trip to New York so Judy could play with it in the car. After much effort we think it is shot so we are looking for options to replace it. It was a Garmin 660 apparently made for CanAm as the CanAm name is the screen image. I initially thought the "low battery" warning on the Spyder indicated there wasn't enough juice to run it but it doesn't work plugged into the car or computer either. I think the dates for the Missouri Spyderfest have been published - early May. We're thinking about reserving a room. Perhaps others from HSV would be interested in going and getting rooms in the same motel?

We have the Spyder back. Thanks Spyderpops, really appreciated Harvey's help! But we're heading for our lake place on the Minnesota side of the Canadian border now - the last 5 miles by snowmobile. So it will have to wait until we get back.

Always good to here that your roadster is back at home where it should be! Harvey at SpyderPops has always taken good care of us and so glad we have him close by to take care of our service work. Be safe and have fun up there in the NORTH country. We will see you when you get back home......

Hello, we live close to the E. Gate. I have a '14 cognac limited. We are wanting to do some rides this year. We aren't on Facebook. If y'all do a ride anytime soon we would like to go.
