Many of us who did not attend the homecoming have had a great time at Spyder Jam 2017, here in Cuba, MO, hosted by the great folks at Cowtown USA . If your schedule permits next year it is a really good time.

:agree: It is a great event and was enjoyed by the wife & me. There was a good turnout, probably around 35-40 Spyders there and the food was great. Thanks to Cowtown for an excellent event. Also Cowtown service department is working on an exclusive only to Cowtown customers a horsepower upgrade that is accomplished only with software. For the 998 V-twins it will increase the horsepower from 100 HP to 130HP and on the 1330 engine from 115 HP to 140 HP. Its still in the works but it should be available soon.

Had a great time, fun with the web run which I wanted to call the Treasure Hunt. Because all the neat places in the area that I got to see and visit with some really great ppl. in their businesses. Some of which I probably should stay out of as I would end up spending a LOT of money for more fun stuff!!!The Cowtown Gang was as usual TERRRRRRIFFIC!!! All the great folks who came from all over to visit with and look at the different bikes. Had a small problem with my bike but Kevin is the superman of Spyders and ( I think) The ONLY really excellent:bowdown: mechanic in the state:yes::thumbup:. Looking forward to seeing some of the owners next year in Cuba!!! By then I will have my bike back on the road and adding a LOT more miles of smiles. Have a little over 60,000 now and some weird oil things going on with it. Like it's owner getting broke in and starting to wear some!!!

Intellicast was wrong on the most part for Spyder Jam. We had great weather for most of the weekend. I met some new people and I think everyone had a great time.

Had a nice ride to Paramount and a factory tour. They make hats and T-Shirts. They had a fun days set up with stuff for the kids, a car show and good eats.

We had some great catered food on both Friday and Saturday nights for the Spyder Jam event! Yum yum!

I think it was worth the 12 hour drive up there again this year. Looking forward to next year!

My only concern about the HP upgrades via software: What is BRP going to say about warranty issues? Software modifications?

I am good with mine, but I know others would like to see "more power Scotty.":bowdown:

What does it do for gas mileage?

When we were up there, they were still working the bugs out of it. Once the software is perfected, you would have to take your bike to Cowtown and they would load the program into your Spyder. I'm not sure what effect it would have on gas mileage though. They did tell me though, if your Spyder is still under warranty they would have to unload the program, cover any warranty items and then load the software back in.

Sorry we once again missed this, seems every year something drug us out of state during Spyder Jam, thought it was going to be a go this year and then this stupid bypass surgery came up and we were busy getting prepared.
Kevin as soon as I'm well enough to let Lily drive me that far I want to discuss this power upgrade with you it might be right down my alley.
