Trying to see if there is any interest out there. There's a possibility that I will host a Squared Away Spyder event at my house . I'm located in LaPorte city,Iowa . Squared Away is a premium laser alignment system. These people are amazing. Not sure if I can pull it off but I need to see how many I could get lined up. Cost would be about $130 a Spyder if I can get the right amount. They are a Spyderlovers sponsor. I met them at Spyderfest this year. Looks like the date would be June 6 . Check your calendars, maps for the distance to LaPorte city and let me know , we need to move quickly on this . Good chance to meet fellow Spyder riders.:spyder2::spyder2:

I will probably grill some hot dogs or brat's and have some snacks, we can sit around and talk all things SPYDER while you are getting it aligned by one of the best.

If you are out there and had an alignment done by SQUARED AWAY- Let the group know how your Spyder handles when they got done.

If you live close to my location and are interested I need a few more. Private message me, If I can get a few more I would like to set up time slots for that day...THE DATE TENTATIVELY ISJUNE 6

Some folks are undecided. So, with that, we are coming! Looks like 2 days of 600 mile days to get there from Valcourt. We'll be there the night of the 5th, ready to get folks Squared Away on the 6th. Even if you don't want an alignment, come and hang out! We hope to have pictures of the homecoming and the factory. We also install most farkles. Order from the vendors, and we can install most all of them. Please call me about that; we want to make sure the Laser alignments are the first priority. Our tools are unique for that. Lights and stuff are straightforward and can be done by any competent shop. Laser Alignment can't. As always, if we check your bike, and find it to be within spec, it's free! Hope to see you there!!! Do some or all of the Spyders leave the factory with alignment issues or is the need for alignment something that comes up due to usage issues? This is my first Spyder, bought new, and I am wondering if it is wise to have alignment checked at least. Thanks!

Hi Cedar Rapids! We have found less than 1% of the Spyder we have checked to be in alignment. We will check yours and if it is in spec it is free.

Joe, when will you be down in the southern part of the USA? I suppose to get my two Federal tires in tomorrow, and can't wait to get them on my 2016 RT Limited to see if it will stop the handlebars from shaking! It stayed with another dealer all of last week and he replace the right front wheel bearing, which may have helped with the pulling to the right, but still having shaking handlebars from about 35 mph up! This will be my third set of tires in about 1400 miles, two Rolo laser alignments, rear wheel alignment and belt tension set, front tires balance twice, dealer even place two wheels and tires off brand new show room Spyder and the front still shakes! Both front rims have been checked and oked with small tolerance reading. I have talked to you on the phone, so you know some of my issues! Hope the new Federal Formoza AZ01 tires will solve my problems, if not I hope to catch you down south! Both Dealers have been nice to me, but Spyder is still not handling like it should! This is not my first Spyder, but it may be my last!!

Vouching for the quality of SA Joe and Ann. Great work. Great people! Proper alignment, which is a finer limit than BRP uses to release their machines, makes a significant improvement in the handling.

On a related note, Mike, the inventor of the ROLO system, studied the behavior of the Spyder steering geometry and came up with a better set of numbers to accommodate the idiosyncrasies.

My wife and I would like to be there but the schedule will be tight for us. The outage I'm working should be done by the end of the month, then I need to get a new tire for the rear of our RTS along with everything else needing to be done after I get home. We live about four hours away so there's a good chance that we would get a room for the night if we can get a sitter for our "fur kids". Is there a cut off date for confirming whether we will be able to make it?

Irv, I usually do the outages at Byron Station but was busy working at Nelson Energy Center by the Rock Falls/Sterling area and then went to Clinton Power Station. Been there since the beginning of March and will be done by the end of the month. I know a few of the people there, might have met your brother.

BoilerAnimal -

I will be putting down time slots for people if they want, I have one gentleman that needs to make a 5 hour trip back so I will put him on the front of the list. If you want a time-slot let me know, but roughly it is an hour per bike. If you don't give me a heads up you just might have to wait for your turn. I will have some food and snacks, so it won't bad thing to sit around and talk Spyder. Send me a private message as soon as you can. Joe has stated they will be at my place to start alignments by 9:00 am on the 6th. I'm not thinking of a cutoff but it would be nice to know how many are going to show for planning purposes.

Hope to meet you soon
