Classic. There's a road here in San Antonio off of Hwy 90 called "Acme Rd". Every time I see the exit sign to the off ramp I think of Willey Coyote and his famed Acme gadgets.

It's amazing that we've been able to get this old!

Cars with no seat belts.
Cars with no child seats.
Skateboards and bicycles with no helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, gloves (or even shoes sometimes!)
Riding in the back window or floor of a car.
Riding in an open bed of a pick-up truck.
Playing far from home without adult supervision.
Walking to school.
AND BB GUNS! :yikes:

It reminds me of the time when I was young and my friend, Spike, came flying down the road, planning to stop inside his garage. However, it was getting dark and his dad had just closed the garage door. Spike went SPLAT against the door, looking just like the coyote. I still laugh about that.

I shudder today to think my two year younger brother and I, at ages 11 & 13, used a chain saw to cut down dead pine trees and then used the saw below to cut them into wood stove size blocks for our winter heat. Not much of a guard on that saw. One slip up and it would have been instant curtains! I really think that the realization of how dangerous the saw was is what kept us from screwing up.

I will share since we are in the 60`s late 60`s that is ,,, { any one have the mosquito trucks ride around with the fogger on back ? } mmmmmmm,,, what was it they were spraying ? d-d-t ? or some sort of chemical ? now put your self on a bicycle with 5 or so more kids riding in and out of the fog , with on coming traffic in the neighbor hood ... it must MUST be the reason I am dang healthy ... no really , I do not get the flu , or the cold like other folks seem to get , { went too doctor last 5 years for ---> ear wax problem , --- you can push only so much down till it plugs the system :roflblack: ,,, a tick bite , rocky moutian fever or the other one ? and I think muscle ache from walking on concrete bad shoes and age I guess } but what I am thinking I might have needed too ride through the fog a few more times too live too 200 :yikes:
