You can do it with a 6x10...
But a tandem-axle, 7x12, or 7x14 gives you a lot more room to work with.

I went with a 7x12 enclosed trailer. I purchased it new. We painted the inside to seal up the wood. Then we put a 3/4 inch plywood floor over the stock floor and 2 coats of paint to seal that floor.
I have used the trailer to keep my Spyder in over the winter.
Come summer we will add chaulks and tie downs to haul the Spyder!!
good luck!!

going to find out if a 10x6 works . have a triton -tilt 1072- ordered.
all aluminum tilt bed. i dont have a full size pickup anymore. just a mountaineer.
wanted the lightest i could get. 500#. if time allows we will try to build a removable
covering. am registered for spyderfest--irv toms

just for the heck of it i laid out all the measurements on my shop floor.
should be plenty of room. i do not need a bigger trailer. this will work
for atv's , scooters, mowers and other items. sold my 4x8 trailer.
its all i needed up to now.

Enclosed or open trailer?
Tow rating for your car is?
4 or 6 pin connector?
electric brakes for the trailer means yearly inspections!

Most trailers/vehicles will haul a 1000 pound bike but check the weight ratings and ALWAYS exceed what you plant to tow! My thoughts:thumbup:

When you said you could haul a Spyder with an 6' by 10' trailer I hope you were talking about an open trailer? I have a 6' by 12' enclosed V nose trailer. I drove from Maine to southern PA, about 5 miles from the WV border to pick up my 2012rt. Good deal, only had 6200 miles on it, asking 12 5 for it. I got it for 12 even. My only problem was as it sat on my rear ramp door,it was two INCHES too wide to fit thru the door opening! By taking the fenders off it fit thru the door without touching the front tires and off I went back to Maine. I got it out with help and fenders off it. My brother works with steel and does welding on the side. He & I widened the lower 27" of the door 2" on each side to get it thru with the fenders on it. Basicly widened the lower part of the door opening and welded wider flaps on the lower part of the door. It works! Doesn't even leak! It's touch & go loading it up, I have to have a pretty good distance to get it exactly center & clear the door. All it cost me was for a few pieces of steel.

Mama and I just bought a 7X16 to haul her Spyder RT and my Harley. We used Etrack and it all came out pretty good.
