Nope Have never watched any of those award shows and have no interest. All they are doing is telling us what to watch or listen to in entertainment. Another way of increasing they're bank accounts.

I caught the tail end of a news report this morning. I'll have to read it b/c I'm not quite sure who screwed the pooch, whether it was Beatty, or the envelope.

I read it, and still not sure what happened.

There is talk of this being one of Jimmy Kimmel's pranks.
I think that it takes all of the pressure off of Steve Harvey now. :D

Don't watch Hollywood award shows. Who needs a bunch of ego-driven people telling me what to think? I'm busy driving my own!

Just watched the video. How could they get that wrong? I thought the envelopes were hermetically sealed in a mayonnaise jar on Funk & Wagnall's back porch!

It's interesting to see the difference between last yrs winners and this yrs winners. Especially after last yrs accusations.

I guess they had the 3rd lowest rating since 1974. Proud to say I'm partially responsible for that low rating.

No, I did not watch them. I was watching re-runs of Bar Rescue--that's how bad TV is these days. http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/images/smilies/barf.gif (javascript:void(0)) And yes, I thought about Steve Harvey when I heard about the mix up on the cards. :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

UPDATE: The accountant did it. PriceWaterhouseCooper issued an apology to the Oscars stating that their accountant backstage failed to follow proper protocols. The guy was to busy tweeting and taking selfies with the stars to take care of business.

Probably going to be looking for a new situation very soon. :roflblack::roflblack:

Exactly. Probably had nothing to do with it, but the higher ups sure weren't going to admit it was them.

I watched Viola Davis speech and the mix up, I don't blame Steve for what happened at all. When I listened to him explain how they got it wrong like most I was on the fence, now that I see it can happen he is totally okay ,what was crazy is when it happened to him the producers left him out there to crash and burn, The guy got death threats . I am glad it happened so people can see mistakes do happen and not to take this that serious .

The article that I read said that Mr. Calihan was one of the higher-ups. As in, on the Board of Directors for the accounting firm. :bbq::bbq::bbq:
