Rob,
Can you copy the URL for the video, and email it to me? :dontknow:
When I try to right-click on the video; it wants to act more like it's a picture, than anything else. :banghead:

More research is required. :dontknow:

I'll play around with IE11 over the weekend, and see if I can back-track on the updates that they seem to want to shove down my throat.

Try Firefox.

Bob Denman
02-03-2017, 02:56 PM
I'm really reluctant to change browsers:
1. I have NO idea what it involves...
2. I have NO idea of how they do what they do
3. I'd be concerned about losing the "easy functionality", that I've grown so used-to
4. I have no idea of where to go to even get one of them

It's a digital rights management (DRM) issue with IE and YouTube. It appears YT, or the people who make and upload some videos, are using some DRM method not supported in IE. I searched for a solution and came up wanting. One site, http://www.drmtoday.com/platforms/, shows a list of browsers and the various DRM schemes they support or use. IE uses/supports only Micros**t version called Playready. Apparently the video of the priest uses Widevine or Primetime, neither of which IE supports.

Your best option, and maybe the only one, is to scrap IE and Edge and use Firefox and maybe Chrome. So AK and Bob, you can stop :banghead: trying to get the priest video to play in IE. It looks to me like it ain't gonna happen.

Addendum: The video not playing has something to do with the link going through SL. If you copy the video URL directly into IE address bar it plays.

What is this "Firefox" thing; where do we find it, and how tough is it to set up?

here is the free download for firefox, naturally you will have to add all the sites you have saved on IE to it. it is a pain to do, because you have to look up all the sites, and save them. but like i said, i like the firefox much better https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/

It always cracks me up when this song gets sung in a church or by a Priest.... seems they don't know the song isn't religious in nature.. it's actually about sex.... Leonard Cohen is having a good laugh over it I'm sure. ;)

On second thought: You think that EVERY song is about sex... :lecturef_smilie:
