I was and am very surprised at all the responses on the Al Gore joke
as in where is good ole Al Gore.... now how about this since that one got
folks going here are some more.

1- what came first the chicken or the egg ?
2- why could you get a PHD in basket weaving at UC Berkely in the 60's
3- creation or evolution
4- how long will it take for the Elio to have them in the showroom
5- I grew up in the 50's being told we would be using flying cars by now.

just a few to think about do you have more? REMEMBER THIS IS ONLY FOR FUN !!!!!

#4 Don't wait for that one. A current thread running with all the details. Elio is on the verge of bankruptcy and the production date has now been moved to 2018. Paul collects a $250k salary in spite of the above. No one has yet to be hired for production of this wonder car.

Regarding #2: are you sure that it was a PHD?
I could understand an undergraduate degree in that sort of crap...
But becoming a "Doctor of Basketology", just seems asinine. nojoke

It does seem a bit far out--but that was Berkley in those days. Anything to get a "Dr." on the resume or added to the signature. Not to difficult to get a PHD though. Internet sites will give you the certificate if you have the time and money. You can even get pre-done thesis to submit to the phony programs. Will they slip through scrutiny if a legitimate search is done for a position?? :dontknow:

I don't know the answer to #1, but I know how to get it. Next time you go to a restaurant, ask the waitress if you order the egg sandwich and chicken sandwich at the same time, which one will I get first?:yes::yes:

Degrees in basket-weaving were probably to help guys stay in college to avoid the draft. Or what we called "pud" courses for athletes.

But then they realized if we had flying cars we would have flying idiots.

It was actually Arizona St that was busted for that back in the 60's or 70's and it was their football players who were taking (scheduled in the class without ever showing up), for the CLASS and getting an easy A, not at UC Berkley for a degree.
