NEED IT, WANT IT, GOT TO HAVE IT!

You need Derwin, he used to be on here a lot and I don't think he ever did get his spyder. But he had a website probably still does that talks about the Carver. I think this is it. http://www.flytheroad.com/

Actually I believe those have been around longer than the Spyder - just not in the states yet.

Pretty cool ride and technology.

spyder will blow it away on straight a way according to its 0-60 mph time.

i like the idea and i like what it does but i dont like the look, especially in the front. it looks like it missing fenders. other thing is it's fully enclosed.
i guess they did to stop 4 wheelers who never rode bike before from falling over:p
thing too slow for my taste and what it "looks" like it's capable of
0-60 in 8.2 sec? what is that about civic's number?
8.2 is good i guess for normal car but not for something looks this.

It's got a 660 cc engine and weighs over 1400 pounds, a Mini S could clean its clock. It does get 40 mpg though. I'll stick with my Spyder.

When Derwin was frequenting SpyderLovers, I would occasionally check his forum on these machines. I think at one time they were advertising 100MPG on these things. Advertising hype or a different powertrain? :dontknow:

We're way off Spyders here (again!) but I didn't notice anyone post about the Segway/GM (http://www.segway.com/puma/) deal. You think people stare at us driving down the road? Here's the prototype:

30miles on a charge, top speed 30mph. Called the PUMA.

Here's a concept drawing of the final version:

I know your first two thoughts:

1. A "cage" smaller than a Spyder??
2. Imagine the devastation when Ev & Patti's Barbus Smart car totals a PUMA...

I'm sorry, what can I say I like BIG cars.

Someone mentioned it on a thread earlier this week. You musta missed it. ;) The GM/Segway got mixed reviews from your SpyderLover brethren.

(Wow. I am getting old and forgetful. Brian, weren't we supposed to do something later next week...? )

Well, it's got 2 wheels, so it's a motorcycle? Gets it out of the crash testing cars have to pass. But it won't help their CAFE rating, either.
