Do you know in Europe you have to pay for ketchup, mayo, nugget dipping- sauce and salad dressing (even when you buy the salad!)
No refills and pay to use the restroom?

Lol, will be anarchy if this apply to us Americans [emoji23]

That is why I love Portugal, great food, free condiments and bathroom! Now if only they charged less for liquor. The beer is also cheaper than water, so that is good!

I've been all over Europe and it is hit or miss with the restrooms, usually just the service centers and public squares. The condiments was a surprise though.

It will probably happen. They are charging for parking at the hotels on the Vegas strip now and the number of hotels in the "program" has just increased. On top of that, they charge a daily resort fee. I used to go to Vegas every five years or so. Not any more. I am going to hit Branson next time I want some excitement.

Hi Bob,

Re:

Obviously, you were not in Europe in the early 60's.

PS) When we would go off of the base, we took our own TP with us.

PPS) And the military had regs that said you could only use seven squares when doing a sit-down.

Plan your trips to coincide!:ohyea::yes:

Once again, the SpyderFest timing is not in conjunction with my teaching schedule. And...then there is the one week plus travel back and forth if we were to ride the :spyder2:'s. My intent, would be to fly into Springfield, rent a couple from Pitbull, go to Branson and then down to Arkansas to visit with my brother. It will probably be later in the summer than the Fest.

:banghead: I would never use a used toilet paper. LOL :roflblack::roflblack: Poor people anywhere in the world will do anything to get by. If toilets
vcare made with Bidet you don't need toilet paper and save the trees in return.:yes:I am a retired navy and I've seen many different kinds of restroom. In Japan they have a hole in the floor and the sink plumbing is directed to that hole to flush. A water saving system idea. Perhaps a rain water off roof gutter is also a great idea to flush a toilet.

In the early 70s TP on the German trains was really bad. And there was a shortage on TP in the supply system so most of us bought our own from the PX. Never had to ask where someone was headed when you passed them in the hall. And you might forget your hat in the latrine, but you always made sure your TP went with you when left.

Hi Cliff,

Re: your TP went with you when left.

In France we had French civilians doing some of the menial work in the hospital.

When we were low on TP we knew who had taken it.

When I first arrived in Argentina,I thought the people were very well informed because they all had a newspaper under there arm. Then I found out that there was no tp in restrooms and the newspaper was to use in place. I soon became quite well read also.
