Think about this , There was a iceberg that broke away from Antartica bigger than the whole USA and scientist believe that due to 1 degree increase in temp. When Late President John F. Kennedy said in his speech that , we are going to sent a man in the moon on this decade(60's) and I said arrogantly it will be the day. Interestingly with our scientist we made it to the moon. So I have faith on our scientist about global warming. Good example, If you have a wood burning fire place start it in your house and close all the windows and damper , smoke will kill anybody trap inside. God Bless us all this coming Christmas and I wish you all free of Global warming.

Global Warming exists. What hasn't been proven, is who or what causes it. Earth has gone in cycles of warmer and cooler temperatures since the beginning of time. The Great Lakes were formed by icebergs forming during a cool period. Give it a few thousand years and we will be right back there.

But in the meantime...

How Cold Was It?
At 60 degrees: Californians reach for their sweaters.
At 50 degrees: Floridians pull out another blanket.
At 40 degrees: British Cars refuse to start.
At 30 degrees: Alaskans go swimming.
At 20 degrees: Folks in South Carolina start crying.
At 10 degrees: Real Estate values in Arizona start looking
reasonable.
At 0 degrees: Canadians go swimming.
At-10 degrees: Residents of Michigan go to Football games.
At-20 degrees: Canadians will put on a Tee-Shirt.
At-30 degrees: Alskans will close the Bathroom Window.
At-40 degrees: Swedish cars refuse to start.
At-50 degrees: Canadians will bring in their lawn furniture; if
they can find it in the snowbanks!
At-60 degrees: The thought of cutting firewood actually becomes
pleasant.
At-70 degrees: You CAN watch daytime television!
At-80 degrees: The dog is under the covers with you. Even if he does
have fleas!
At-90 degrees: Politicians will put their hands in their OWN pockets.

Brilliant Bob, just brilliant.....I stopped your quote at 40 degrees because that's generally as low as we go out here (with a couple of minor exceptions that can hit 30...) ;)

Crocodiles and Palm Trees in the Arctic? Yes, this has been documented.

An article published by The National Geographic in May, 2016 states that; 'If we keep burning fossil fuels, Earth will be 8 degrees warmer, returning to the climate of 52 million years ago, (Which is the time frame which some scientists believe the crocodiles, palm trees and other semi-tropical flora and fauna found in the Arctic thrived there), according to new research.'

Everything is speculation except that we know there were crocodiles, palm trees, etc., living in the Arctic sometime in the past. Though there is much speculation, science does not know why the earth was so warm in the past. But it certainly was not man caused. Nor was the ensuing colder climate that created the current day Arctic environment man caused.

Can you imagine the dire predictions that would have come from our current scientists as it got colder, species died out, and everything froze, if they had been around back then? You have to ask yourself. What is the 'Normal' climate on Earth?

The Sahara Desert is supposedly an ancient sea bed which dried out about 7 million years ago. Though it is probably true that man has added to the Sahara Desert. He certainly did not create it.

There are many, documented, serious temperature swings within the last few thousand and even just hundreds of years. Why aren't we talking about and comparing today's issues with those?

I don't say that we should ignore the impact that man has on this planet. But neither should we be running in circles waving our arms in the air with every new 'scientific' speculation. After all. We were supposed to be in another ice age by now according to many of these same scientists back in the 70's!

The shame is that a good number of highly qualified scientists have very good evidence that none of this 'Man Made Climate Change' is valid. But they don't fit into the preferred narrative so you just don't hear about it. There are people trying to make it illegal even to disagree or challenge this man made climate change hypothesis. Regardless of how good the evidence to the contrary may be.

Earth's temperature - climate has been changing for millions of years... the Sahara Desert was once a lush rain forest ... does anyone think man can stop the climate from changing ? ... Al Gore like many politicians has come up with a scheme to increase his wealth... and some have bought in to his scam... namely government of different countries... they know tax payers are being taxed to the point of going bankrupt so they have to come up with a "new method of taxation" they are planning to implement a "carbon tax" which will increase the cost of EVERYTHING you use.. this new tax will bring in trillions of tax dollars .. and who do you think will foot the bill for this new tax scheme ?

I love watching science documentaries on Discovery, Nat geo ect till they start with the evolution crap, then I just turn the channel. Its true the world at one time was way different than it is now. We live in a complex universe that at times has violent changes. Pole shifts, expansions ect caused by any number of things not associated with cow farts.

None of the predictions are for the near future. They are all computer generated from data collected by specific scientist and give out their predictions. Use the data from a different group of scientist and the outcome is totally different. But let's all face it...we will not be around when this will possibly happen so in the meantime lets pay for it.....:yikes::banghead::banghead:

No complaints, but the weather forecaster is predicting 25 below for Minnesota this Saturday. I was in Chicago for the 15 degrees, that wasn't as bad as the snow that came with it.

There where some emails hacked from some climate scientists a few years ago. They discuss how they fudge their data. Anyone have more info on that?

The interesting thing about "Climate Change" (the new name for global warming), is that in the '70s, the global warming people were screaming about the coming ice age. It isn't about the weather, it's going to change anyway, it IS about control.

john

When I was in middle school back in the early 70's, they were talking about spreading coal dust on the ice cap to melt it, as stated in the news clip below.
I have also read where a mine, and forests were found where a glacier had melted back, second news clip below.

You are correct, it as ALL about control!!

On April 28, 1975, Newsweek wrote an article stating:

Climatologists are pessimistic that political leaders will take any positive action to compensate for the climatic change, or even to allay its effects. They concede that some of the more spectacular solutions proposed, such as melting the Arctic ice cap by covering it with black soot or diverting arctic rivers, might create problems far greater than those they solve. But the scientists see few signs that government leaders anywhere are even prepared to take the simple measures of stockpiling food or of introducing the variables of climatic uncertainty into economic projections of future food supplies. The longer the planners delay, the more difficult will they find it to cope with climatic change once the results become grim reality.

Receding Swiss glaciers incoveniently reveal 4000 year old forests – and make it clear that glacier retreat is nothing new

Anthony Watts (https://wattsupwiththat.com/author/wattsupwiththat/) / August 8, 2014 (https://wattsupwiththat.com/2014/08/08/receding-swiss-glaciers-incoveniently-reveal-4000-year-old-forests-and-make-it-clear-that-glacier-retreat-is-nothing-new/)
By Larry Bell
Dr. Christian Schlüchter’s discovery of 4,000-year-old chunks of wood at the leading edge of a Swiss glacier was clearly not cheered by many members of the global warming doom-and-gloom science orthodoxy.
This finding indicated that the Alps were pretty nearly glacier-free at that time, disproving accepted theories that they only began retreating after the end of the little ice age in the mid-19th century. As he concluded, the region had once been much warmer than today, with “a wild landscape and wide flowing river.”

Dr. Schlüchter’s report might have been more conveniently dismissed by the entrenched global warming establishment were it not for his distinguished reputation as a giant in the field of geology and paleoclimatology who has authored/coauthored more than 250 papers and is a professor emeritus at the University of Bern in Switzerland.
