Batman riding suit
Resisted the temptation to be a total geek and just ordered the Batman replica gloves.
UDreplicas.com
Of course I have a Phantom Spyder.
-
Don't stop with just the gloves.
-
I want one too!
I've had just about every person that sees my spyder (since its a phantom) say it looks like something batman would drive!
But come on, minus the Geek factor, you KNOW it would look awesome!
-
Do it
-
I'd have to have the cape, not real sure about the tights.

The boots have not been released yet and since I need both boots and gloves I thought I'd start there.
Don't tempt me. I am a total geek and its not a bad price really for an armored leather suit.
Thinking now.......
And it did occur to me that besides being a collector's item (they claim only 1000 will be made) that in a few years when the movie is forgotten it would still make a cool riding suit. And there is next Halloween (they ship in January).

No capes. See The Incredibles for references.

I hear ya on the boots, I mean, I have boots that I'm using, but I'd like to get a nice pair.
I'm going to email them to see when the boots are going to be available, and depending on how much the whole thing costs (really don't have a point of reference since I'm a noobie to riding!) we'll see.
As if our 's don't turn enough heads as it is!

Take this for what it's worth. There was once a picture of a Spyder owner riding his Spyder in his blue Spiderman suit. Lamonster removed the picture and the thread after it was ridiculed quite a bit...

Not sure why anyone would bother to ridicule another rider about anything but that's just not my nature I guess. Besides we are generally older grownups riding three wheelers with spiders decorating them.
This post was about a real motorcycle riding suit though not a Halloween costume. It just happens to be a collectable replica of a famous film costume.
Each to their own but if I have a sidekick riding with me I want her dressed as Catwoman. lol

I don't know if you noticed Doc, but they've extended the sale on it, probably lots of people like us worried about how geeky it might be!
P.S.
Hell, go for it, I just did! My bikes probably going to have to hibernate for the WI winter soon, so hopefully when I can bring it back out I'll have some sweet gear to go with it!

Thanks for the heads up Darksage.
I finally ordered it today. The owner is really great and spent a lot of time on the phone making sure I got my sizes right. I was surprised I needed a Medium Jacket and Large Pants but with the form fit and body armor it makes sense. It would fit different if you weren't riding and removed the armor.
He let me order earlier to get my suit reserved and call him a bit later once I did my measurements.
Now the wait until February. Or March. Batman Valentine's anyone?
Oh, and the gauntlet is removable. I think we all wondered if those spikes on the sleeves would get in the way and what to do if they did. And the boots should be available in the next couple weeks.

In the other thread, you said . . . . . .

Looks like you are going to get to lead a few.
Well, OK is not that far from NM, this is worth a trip to see. Let me know when you get the gear and are on the road.

One of the guys at the dealer today builds custom bikes and enters the Starwood contests.
I told him I need Batwings for my trailer and maybe front machine guns and Stinger missiles. lol
I do need a Batman style helmet but have not seen one. lol. Guess I will have to settle for my matte black Arai.
-
and you saved that . . . .

. . . . for your 100th post?
If you can put Batwings on your trailer, it won't be difficult to put Bat ears on your helmet.
