I have used "Bike Spirits Spray Cleaner and Polish" on windshields for more than 5 years.
Similar is "Honda Spray Cleaner and Polish".
Spray it on and wipe with a microfiber cloth. Road grime and bugs come right off and no streaking.
Both can be used on painted surfaces as well. Spay on, wipe off and it looks like it was just waxed.
This stuff is great for love bug removal. No need to soak with a towel or any of the other screwball methods so many use.
Just use a clean microfiber cloth.
Get it at any bike shop.

I only use scraps of worn out white cotton undershirts that have been laundered 10k times to clean my windshield the first go around. Then I use those small packets of cleaner that you use to clean your glasses/sunglasses. If I do a good job the first time generally one little packet will clean off all the residue left behind. Never, never use paper towels on your windshield. If you do, you'll only do it once.

Plexus and a microfiber cloth. It's not cheap stuff (about $20 for 13 oz. can). Great on the windshield and on all the Spyder tupperware....you don't have to use a lot of it.

    +1 for Plexus.

    Default Have to agree...

Plexus works well but then all those work well. I don't look through my windshield so can't be sure. Currently using 303 and it does a good job. Amonia free glass cleaner should work well

Plexus. Also important to make sure you keep your microfiber cloth clean. Rinse out at the end of the day and it's dry by morning. Otherwise you're just smearing old bug juice all over your windscreen. I do not use a circular motion....only straight up and down. This prevents leaving swirl marks in the windscreen.

Unless of course, you are running an F4 screen, 2dogs......then you can use a paper towel as often as you like

    Hi HankD,

    Re: Plexus

I just bought & tried the Honda product mentioned above. About $6 for the Honda stuff & about $28 bucks for the Plexus; which they tried to up-sell me.

The Honda product works just fine; no reason to spend 3 times the money IMO.

Yes, I have heard good things about the Honda product. I'll probably give it a try when the Plexus runs out.

I'm familiar with the Honda Cleaner. A few years ago, they were selling this stuff at a Honda shop in its place.

Is Honda still making the cleaner you mentioned?

++++++++++++++ Plexus and a microfiber cloth.

Plexus doesn't cost $28..... you can get it online for $14 a bottle. Best stuff I've ever used.

Plexus on the windshield and helmet and Honda polish on the rest of the spyder. A 7oz can cost about $14 which last a long time when used on the windshield only.

I have used Lemon Pledge on my eye glasses, windshield and tupperware for almost 10 yrs. Works great and helps fill in those micro scratches that lead to cloudiness. Old biker turned me on to it. Inexpensive and available everywhere
