    Default Rear shock question

220 overweight 60 year old man realizes rear shock on new 2015 F3 is way too stiff. The shock is too stiff, not the man, well maybe the man too....but I digress. What are options? For the shock again, not the man. Thanks! Dan

    Default Elka

Went with an ELKA stage 2 on Cindy's bike and she loves it .
I put a 2 up on mine it's ok I think the Elka would be better but you know would a, could a, should a.
Pricey but worth it on the Elka just my 2 cents.

Too stiff? Most people find the original shock on the 2015 F3 too soft. Was it changed or is it bottoming out?

Tighten the spring first. Check the air pressure, you may not have any air in it. It's too soft, not too stiff. Tom

On second thought, the spring may not be adjustable. Tom

    Default 2 STIFF ?

i'm with Highwayman on this 1....
i'm 6'2", 260 lbs... i found the OEM way too soft... i bottomed out a number of times, and switched to the 2UP shock, and found it to be a much more comfortable ride... it dampens bumpy roads, and no more bottoming-out....
if you have a pal with a different shock, ask if you can ride his/hers a couple miles and see if that helps you....
