    Default Pods vs strips

Hello, I just purchased a 2017 F3-T & I would like to light it up. Not sure where to begin. I think I want to start with the undercarriage. Some people are telling me to get pods & others are saying strips! Which is best to invest in?

Had a friend who was pulled over for having blue lights on the back of his trike. LEO advised him that blue lights are reserved for emergency vehicles. True.....? Not true.....? Don't know. I just know he got a ticket. And I know he rode with those blue lights for several years with no problem. Just happen to cross paths with someone who took exception with his lights.....

Nice looking bike. Welcome. Lots of good information here and many opportunities to help you farkle up your ride.....

    Thumbs up Welcome

Maybe consider more useful lighting. Like LED headlight and some kind of extra brake lighting first. Then enjoy other extra lighting for visibility ( front spot light for example ). Even better lights to let you know your signals are on. I'm kinda of a form follows function guy ( my wife is the same way about farkels).

Best of luck with your new .

    Default SOME STATES

SOME STATES actually restrict the amount of lights, and the power levels that you can have... some States restrict anything over 55W, so check 1st b4 u add lites....

as for SoCar, there are NO RESTRICTIONS, except for FLASHING BLUE/RED lites....

I did a little of both (safety and fun). I have a strip on the nose, and replaced my headlights and added foglights for safety. (avatar)

Light is a good thing to invest in, and yes look at the regs for your state for both intensity, type and color.

Start with the fender lights then add as needed from there.

    Those LED lights are bright.

Something to consider, the Halo Skid from Custom Spyder Works. Many features, and the LEDs are not along the edge where they can be damaged, but rather nestled within the plastic and well protected.

Nice Facebook site. I really appreciated them having a link to a site that has consolidated the state laws on LED lighting. That's cool

    I agree wholeheartedly.
In addition, I replaced all the fender and side marker reflectors with LEDs for maximum visibility.
Here's a photo of everything lit up. Understand, of course, that this is an RT:
