Recall on 2015 RT Limited
I took the RT in for the 3000 mile oil change and service. Had them check for recalls and Update the software. They said the only recall was a "Quality" not a "Safety" Recall on the throttle Grip. The dealer I went to didn't know anything about the issue but told me if had a problem to bring it back. When I asked what kind of problem, he didn't know.
Has anyone had a problem on the 2015 RT Limited Throttle Grip?

Your Dealer is mixing the terns "Recall", and "Technical Service Bulletin". (T.S.B.)
If you go to the BRP Spyder website: you can type in the V.I.N. of your Spyder, and BRP will let you know what's going on...

There was a technical service bulletin on the F3's about a sticking throttle grip. I called my dealer and he said if I am not having any problem with my throttle there is no need to bring it in. For those with a sticking throttle, it will be replaced under warranty.

Has anyone had a problem on the 2015 RT Limited Throttle Grip?
Was almost killed yesterday returning early from Spyder Fest in Springfield,Mo. Throttle stuck while cruise was on, had to hit the kill switch after shutting the cruise off. Was pouring down rain, terrible visibility, had cruise set at 60 and my RT started gaining speed. Upto 85 mph while I was riding the brake and trying to figure out what was wrong. After restarting it took off again. Realized the throttle was sticking. Called dealer and was told there is a "RECALL" and parts are on back order. Mine is a 2016 RT Sport.

Mines Also
We have a 2013 RTL returning from our first local road trip last year, same thing happened to me. cruise shut off but kept accelerating when i thought i should have been slowing down. I asked in another thread about this issue, and I was informed that IPS end caps from Lamonster would fix the problem and sure as heck they did. No way was I going to pay what the dealer wanted to fix the problem.

They wanted you to pay for the fix on a recall ?? Aren't owners being notified of this issue ?

I was just notified by the dealer that there are two (2) service bulletins for the 2015 RT's, one fore the 'throttle grip return, and one for the 'parking brake motor'. I was told that if I'm not having problems with that then I didn't have to worry about it. It was not a recall, just an advisory notice.

How old would you be if you didn't know how old you were?

Thanks for the info.
Seems to me a sticky throttle would qualify for a recall even if all units aren't doing it ?
