Default TREAD: The new tool from Leatherman for the road

Get it with the watch, so it has the most utility:

Tell you significant other you need this and it will be there this year. Availability after May 15.

Sure wonder what the airplane safety agents are going to say about this. I had to throw away a little pair of finger nail clippers because of the ¼" nail file on them.

It is TSA compliant. Leatherman indicates you can go through the airport with it.

Say what you will, they won't let it on board if they have a good look at it.

Neat. I carried a regular Leatherman for a year or so. The other 10 years its been in my tool drawer.

Am also thinking that the TSA will not like the box cutter feature.

After flying and going through security four or five times a day for 35 years there is no way to get this through. Simply put it in your checked luggage and put it back on when you get there. Maybe with the watch you could fool some of the people some of the time but not all the people all of the time. The box cutter part could cost you a day of questioning.

    I like it!

I like it, but with huge wrists, I might find it difficult to fit.

Leatherman claims it is airport security friendly, but some of you may know better, right?

I carried a Leatherman in the USAF for over 20 years on a daily basis. I retired and quit wearing it and it was over a year before I quit reaching for it when I needed it. People that won't carry one laugh at the ones who do, but they are a handing item to have when you need one.

The question is (How much more could Mcguyver do with a multi tool instead of that trusty swiss army knife?)! Lol

Leatherman is about a mile from PDX - where they said the device was cleared.

That one's not for me, but I carry one of their more useful kits, that included all the specialty bits the Spyder needs:
