If you could pick..??
For music lovers...... I find every older song brings to mind a time, a place, a feeling, a memory an emotion. So as I scanned over the vast amount of music it came to mind that if you could pick two songs that tell your lifes story ( old folks only ) what would they be..?? For me..
1. Kids of the baby boom by the Bellamy Brothers
2. The Class of 57 by the Statler Brothers
What would yours be..??

Cannot get it down to two...Not even two groups
Been recently been listening to a lot of my OLD stuff: Kingston Trio, Elton John (Candle in the Wind), Abba, the Fleetwoods just to name a few.

All you have to do to answer this question is ask yourself, how many types of media of a particular song or album. For me I have had Vinyl, 8-track, cassette, cd & MP3 of Pink Floyd (Dark Side of the Moon) and Eagles (Hotel California) as for songs: Money & Hotel California.
Can you tell I'm at the end of the BB generation

Apparently, I am the only one out here who wants to be assaulted by my music. No Disturbed or FFDP fans? I am 55 and still get in the PIT. Of course, that is probably why I can't hear!!!

I'm still a young one compared to most but I totally understand what you mean by music being linked to memories and emotions.
One song that will always have a heavy impact on me is 'The Rasmus - In the Shadows'. Long story...it's basically a moment in my life that I wished I could do over. Unfortunately I can't and the 'what if' moment keeps nagging at me.
Another important song would be 'Within Temptation - Stand my Ground' because it reminds me I have to stand tall and be proud of myself instead of cowering in a corner like an insecure little girl.

1. The Forest - The Cure
Has to be live. Just changed my signature to point to a video with that song as the soundtrack:-)
Can't choose a second one as there's about a dozen options.

This one would certainly be in the hunt!
