 Red backrest?
I know they make the red sport rack for the spyder but does anyone know if they make a red backrest? I dont want to put a silver backrest on my red spyder.

Dont think so. I have the red sport rack and the backrest is silver. doesn't look bad but I would like the red also. I asked about this a month ago when I got my rack and the answer from the dealer is no they don''t make it. Haven't seen it in the catalog either.

i HEARD BRP DIDN'T COLOR CODE THE BACKREST FROM MY DEALER.  I GUESS YOU'LL HAVE TO HAVE IT CUSTOM PAINTED i HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM

That wont work for me. Maybe I just have to be patient. They didnt have the red sport rack when I got my spyder. And now they do. So I guess I will have to wait.

We have a red Spyder with a silver sport rack/backrest. We are thinking of getting it powder-coated, but in black. I think the black would be easier to match than the red and would complement the black side pastics to the tail lights.
2008 GS SE5 in 2008
Traded at 43,000 miles for a left over

Dec 12th, 2017 drove a 2017 F3L home. What an awesome machine!
Never had any breakdown stranded issues.

The backrest is now available in all the Spyder colors. Dealers are just about to put their orders in.

no red back rest
Just bought a red sport rack and silver back rest. I asked the dealer to double check on the availability of a red back rest. According to them the rest only comes in silver. My plan is have mine powdercoated black.
When life throws you a curve - aim for the apex.

my dealer said they couldnt get it in anything but silver.
Docdoru said his dealer can get it in red. Doc can you hook me up with the dealer?

Sorry just silver. Wife and I have red Spyders too. Could repaint red though!

Colored backrests
OK, once again I'll say this for those that missed it... BRP has sent out the order form to ll Spyder dealers. The back rest is available in all current Spyder Colors, Black,Red, Silver & Yellow. This also means the sport rack that's required for the backrest is available. Check your Spyder parts dept. or the online Spyder Ryders site and check the catalogue there.

Just went on BRP web site The color matching back rest are now listed there..

He lieing to you they can get it in all colars red gold silver tell him to call BRP would be pissed if they new he didnt do his job to get a coustmer what he wanted .call BRP and complane if he doesn't help you or call order it your self my save some cash...
