Default hey Texas... about that Prius antenna...

I noticed that you have a Prius antenna on your RT. Is there any improvement in reception? Was it difficult to change? That long antenna makes me nervous; it seems so fragile.

I can't say I noticed an improvement in reception, but I also did not notice that reception was any worse. For me, more than anything, I did the mod because I cover the RTS and did not want to deal with getting the bag over the top of the antenna. Also, I like the look of it better. The original antenna broke off at the base when I tried to remove it, so I just tapped a new hole for the new antenna. Tapping a new hole is the easy part. Getting to the antenna is the time consuming part.

The antenna is a 7mm box wrench... with an offset end, it will just fit to remove the old antenna....
