Suggestions For BRP Concerning Future Models
At this point I am guessing that BRP has 2015 sewed up for modifications, additions, subtractions, etc.
The point of this thread is to see what others may like to see for the future.
I will leave my suggestions to the RT--because that is currently my "ryde of choice."
Here are my suggestions for future RT models.
: Give us a "real" seat on the upline versions. RT-S and RTL. The comfort seat is better than the OEM seat--but there still must be something better. A lot of us spend an additional $1K or so to find a good aftermarket seat. Why not make something like this a part of the "top of the line" touring model.
: Give us back the electronic "frunk" release. I spent my money, I want the push button convenience.
: Light up those front fender reflectors, put a light bar on the rear trunk, and add some saddle bag lights. You can't have to many lights and they look so much better if they are built in.
: I like to see new color options every year. BRP is doing a good job. Cognac is a real winner this year. Candy Apple Red anyone? 50's Turquoise and White?

Good Post. If I were King, I would add
1. Garage door opener integration
2. Lights activated in all compartments when you open
3. Rear mud flap
4. Upgraded sound system
5. BRING BACK THE FRUNK SWITCH
6. Additional, higher output lighting
7. True passenger arm rests
8. Turn signals in mirrors
9. Blind spot mirrors integrated into stock mirrors
10. Remote on key to open seat and lock and unlock compartments electronically
11. Electronic actuated exhaust baffle like the Captains call for boats to enable opening up the exhaust (Fantasy)
That should do it for me.

Suggestions
Those are some good suggestions. Here are mine:
- Move the rear tire air-valve to the opposite side of the rim (away from the belt sprocket)
- It's great BRP finally came out with their own driver's backrest - now make it adjustable like nearly all the aftermarket products. Also make it removable without tools - maybe some sort of latch from under the seat.
- Make the rear turn-signals LED like the rest of the lights (most of them).
- Allow for vertical adjustment of the driver's pegs or floorboards, depending on model.
- Come up with a different Cruise-control switch - I've always thought the current one is just a little awkward.

From an RS-S point of view
Let's see.......
1. More horsepower
2. more relaxed leg position (forward controls?)
3. Heated grips
4. new colors: plum crazy, sub-lime, and neon clear of course
5. Lower Seat hight
6. A kids model (a la mini-z)
7. More horsepower
Just sayin'............
Three in the garage, and I think I can fit at least one more in.....and then we will have to build another garage.
The roads in NY are so bad that I am glad we bought a Ryker Rally
Just sayin'............

+1 on the electronic frunk release. Who's dumb idea was it to get rid of it, anyway?
I like the idea of adjustable floorboards since I have short legs, but it would prolly mess with the brake control.
I like the idea of more reflectors on the back.
I'd REALLY like to have a brake light higher up on the back. I'm always afraid of getting rear-ended by some cager who's not paying attention.

I'd like to see true integration of bluetooth - not some commercial after thought add on that you have to turn off manually
Blue tooth AND CB - not Bluetooth or CB
A better selection of tires
A better selection of stock seats - Why can the aftermarket companies build good seats and the factories build crap
More ergonometric placement of things
Bigger letters in the top and bottom displays so we can read the time without special glasses
Better illumination of turn signals
Move the GPS up to the dash top so you don't have to take your eyes off the road to read it
Better handlebar controls so you can use them in cooler weather with heavy gloves
That's all I can think of right now, but I'm sure there's more

Upgrade
Decent tyres
Proper factory alignment
Water cooled trousers and boots

More HP. As in 175+hp
Less Nanny interference
Better seat
Forward controls would be pretty cool when we have to cruise....
I'd also like to see what they could do with a 2 wheeled version too....

Factory Laser Align and All Dealers required to have Laser Align...
More HP
Higher Speed Limiter
A proper Blinker switch - the kind with the separate mechanical cancel switch in the middle of the blinker switch.
Upgraded speakers with more bass.
probably think of more later

TIRE VALVE THING

RS/RSS
Heated grips would be great
More "snap" on low end...could be motor, could be clutching, could be both
Handle bar adjustability (think sleds or your average 2 wheel bike)
The analog gauges suck. I can't even really read them and the RPM and MPH are on the wrong sides. I use the digital gauge mostly. The whole gauge cluster needs to be reworked.
I'd like the rear shock to be adjustable on the road. This means I don't need to jack up the rear and use a 3ft extension on my socket wrench to turn the adjuster. You guys have nailed this on sleds. No reasons you can't nail it on the Spyder.
I'd love a thumb throttle but that is probably reaaaaalllly wishful thinking.

An optional factory handlebar brake so we didn't have to fool around with an aftermarket one.

I like almost all of the listed changes and would like to also see a larger all digital dash
with out the analog gages and tach and speedometer. Much easier to see and read!

Optional integrated vehicle security system
RFID keys. Get rid of the metal key. Heck HD did this a decade ago. I don't need to fumble for a key or forget it in the ignition.
Fix the darn turn signal switch
I second Bob's idea of a REAL touring seat available on the touring model. IE comfort for long rides.

All I can think of is...
a free RT limited with matching trailer to the 2014 test ryders
Is it Friday yet? ... Oh yeah, I forgot. I'm retired
Past bikes
2010 RS - Sold
2012 RT - Sold
2014 RT - Testing completed
2016 F3-T Audio package - Sold

Many of these suggestions are great and would be good improvements... would also like to see:
*Gas tank filler available without having to lift the seat - making it possible to strap a travel bag on back seat w/o having to remove with every fill-up.
*Reconfigure rear trunk to make it more useful. Current 'shelf' in my 2012 RTS-SE5 doesn't work well at all.

I have customers looking for
There needs to be a sport model (any one except the RT) that has RT handlebars and pegs moved forward (with floorboards) so we can ride a sport model without back fatigue and take longer more comfortable rides without all the extra bags on the back like the RT. It would be less expensive then the RT and be more affordable to more customers. This would be a popular seller to the middle age group.
Turn signal proper turn on/off button would be helpful when passing on interstates. Now I have to fumble and take extra looking time to make sure the signals turn off when I pass a vehicle.

Keyless ignition
Car tires, and please drop kenda!
Adjustable handle bars as an option.
Optional seats, Corbin, Ultimate right from the factory.
Upgrade the stereo system.
Bluetooth from the factory. Built in like all the new cars have.
Quality shocks. Not the ones from Mexico!
Adjustable wind wings, from the factory.
Two tone paints.
And move the damn rear air valve!

How about deeper saddlebags on the RT, so an XL modular helmet with a bluetooth device will FIT? Optional covers would work, and they could be compatible with earlier models.
And redesign the trunk so it's wider and longer front to back (like a Tour-Pac).
