    Default 2008 SE5 Shifting Question

I just read on another forum that to put a 2008 SE5 in reverse you have to hold the mode button and hold the downshift button then push the R button. Is this right?

    Default Not quite right..................

You do NOT need to press the mode button. Push down the "R" button, hold it while you flip the paddle to downshift to Reverse. If you're in Neutral to begin with, you only need to hit the paddle to downshift. If you are going from "First" to "Reverse", you can hit the paddle twice or hold it until it shifts to "Reverse". To go from "Reverse" to "First" you can hit paddle twice or hold it and it will go into 'First"

Like the other post said. No mode button necessary.

    Default Interesting..!!

never heard of holding or tapping the mode button to get to revese. Could they be referring to getting the engine started then shifting to reverse..??

Thanks folks. I thought that sounded too complicated.
