Removing Dead Battery
I know that this is on here somewhere, but I can't find it. We have a 2010 SM5 RT, and need to replace the battery. How do we get the old battery out?

Removing Dead Battery
After removing all the panels, mirror, and fasteners, you will find that the battery is a VERY tight fit in it's compartment, but it will come out with a little bit of coaxing. I would advise that you NOT put your fingers under the battery
case in the event you slip while raising it up and the battery falls back into the compartment, IT WILL HURT!

16 oz. of Semtex.
It's not an easy job. A few choice words, especially if you pinch your hand/finger might help.

Okay, we're all good until we get to the "left hand passenger grip"....how does that darned thing come off? We can't get to that back screw.

What kind of dead-headed engineer makes you dismantle half of the spyder just to replace the battery that may last 4 years, at the most? Oh, wait, the new bikes have the battery in the front. Never mind.... Now it sounds like a great marketing ploy. Trade it in on a new one and new change another dead battery again.
