    Default Corbin Armrests?

Does anyone know if the Corbin Armrests will mount by themselves on a '12 RTL or does it require the backrest as well?
My Co-pilot would like a set of armrests that also keep her feeling a little more secure in the twisties and these look like they'll do the trick. But being "frugal" I want to only get what is needed.
Anybody just running just the armrests or have a better idea, I'm all ears!
    Thanks!

Yup! They can be added as a separate item.

Great News! However, they are more $$$ than all of the others I'm finding. They are also the only ones that seem to be sturdy enough for security purposes like leaning on in the curves. Neither of us are skinny and I'm hoping to get her in the pilot seat on occasion. That puts me in the back!
    Anyone disagree?

I have the Corbin armrests on my 2013 RT-S. My wife loves them. They work very satisfactorily in the twisties. However, I wouldn't want to have to rely on them if you were required to make a "violent turn" where all her weight would be applied with tremendous force. You have to remember that they are attached to the part of your spyder that holds your speakers, and I for one would be a bit leary. They make great comfortable armrests and that is just what they are .....armrests. They are not a security feature. More of a convience to keep your rider from having to hold on to those damn handles for long periods of time.

    Hope this helped.

I agree. They are fiberglass and connected to plastic with small screws.

Some folks have added a decent-sized washer to the installation, in attempts to, "sturdy them-up" a bit.
