Adams-Farwell automobile

Thought you might find this interesting. This is the ONLY 'Adams-Farwell'
automobile left in existence. They were made in Dubuque between
1890-1913. This one uses a 50 HP rotary engine similar to engines
in old airplanes. With 50 HP... it probably really scooted down the roads
back then !! They mention a motorcycle with the engine as part of the
rear wheel as inspiring the design.

My pop was born (1918) near there. Wish he was still around so I could quiz him. Both his brothers were substantially older than he and they raced that old stuff at the Des Moines fair grounds. Per my pop, one of them (the one closest to my pop in age) still holds a timed lap record there in a model A.

Amazing..!!
saw a Jay Leno one with the motorcycle that had that style engine in the wheel. They made a street model and a racer. Wonder how the balance was...thanks for the link..!!

The original adams company factory was about 2 miles from me. Now they're closer to 8 miles.
