Anyone know of an aftermarket source for engine bearings for 2009 GS..?? BRP says they're no longer in stock and no idea when they may available...

Do you already have them out of the engine?
If so; take them to a machine shop and see if they can get some measurements, and find another choice that'll do the job...
    Good Luck!

5 year old spyder and they don't have bearing in stock.

Must have a lot of bad motors needing them.

My sentiments exactly! The engine is completely disassembled, at the dealers. Most of the parts are in, but they can't seem to get some of the bearings...unknown if it's cam bearings or crank bearings...

    Default Little checking..!!

if you have the old ones they can be matched up. As mentioned machine shop, autoparts even bike shop (other brands). Most bearings have a number code etched on them and many manufacturers use these numbers. In south america it's a snap but here You don't have bearing houses. Brp and dealers seem to have a problem with stocking parts...good luck..!!

Hi guys, I think the Aprilia RSV1000 uses the same Rotax motor. This could worth checking out.

Bob, Here in OZ both Spyder and Aprilia dealers are very scarce, and BRB gives us less choices of what they allow into the country.
I only suggested the Aprilia as another source of parts as they share 90% of the same Rotax engine. I would have no hesitation in using Aprilia/Rotax parts if Can-Am Spyder parts were unavailable, as I have done-so in the past.

I'd use an Aprilia part if I couldn't find the comparable piece at my Spyder dealership.
But finding an Aprilia dealer here; might be tougher than finding the BRP part...
