It doesn't take much to ruin a good day. I've had a small rock fly up from a car in front of me in downtown St. Louis on the highway that happened to hit my compressor on my 2004 Accord and put a hole in it. You'd think that'd be protected too. Even a smallish piece of debris at 60mph has the potential to ruin a good day and some hardware. I'll go dig for that Facebook pics. It was more curiosity about how they protected it rather than "omg I'm too afraid to ryde." If that were the case, I'd be riding in cage every weekend rather than on our Spyder.

Thanks for the info. I expect an engineer at BRP to notice the possibility of a flaw but then again we have melting cylinders, bad turn signals and a hot foot problem :-)
