Only white and black for the RT guess I won't be getting one soon.I don't need the additional options or cost for the RTS or RTL. If Orange was an RT color I might have thought about it a little more.
.
And here I was happy that they sort of eliminated the need to buy a Limited just to get the color you want. I really like the blacked out parts on the RTS and I want another manual so now I can get one in white. Or maybe yellow. Can't make up my mind.

When it comes to messing with the Goldwing gravy train, I agree, but definitely not with the rest of their product line. If anything, Honda's probably the *most* innovative two-wheel builder right now-- their new 500cc offerings, the NC700 series, their DCT, etc.
If I could get an NC700 with leaning trike wheels out front, I'd totally buy one...

So if I could just get some final resolution on my 2013 I'll be ready to make a down payment on my new white RTS-SM6.
Great choice in choosing white Ann!

Just remember that you will be older someday if one of us over the hill types do not get you with our cane. Lol

As much as I love my RSS, I WISH Kawi or Suzuki would come up with a Sport oriented Reverse trike as competition so us Sport riders could get our fix.
BTW: No, the ST nor RT provide the same performance as the RSS.
What next year? An on board Dialysis device for those 70+ ?
In my opinion, BRP has again neglected their younger demo. Perhaps the "Younger/RSS" ideology is in violation of the Quebec Charter of Values and BRP has sided with the PQ?
Hmmm. I'm in my early 40's. God help me if I am over the hill!

Here's a look at the 2014 Can-Am Spyder lineup
I also hate that notion. (over the hill)
However we hear it all the time.
Btw: I have another year before I hit 40. :-)

Well, the wait is over and it looks like BRP made all the changes I desired. As for me, after being one of the first to purchase an RT-S at introduction (#180, 2010) and living with all of the initial problems and seeing all of the initial problems with the 2013 change, think I'm waiting for the 2015 model year so that BRP can correct what I believe will be "initial" problems with this new 2014. Believe me, can't hardly wait for the 2015 so I can place an order.

Looking at the posts on the backrest, it looks like they go down into holes in the frame under the seat!
Are those holes there on older models?

Very interested now in the 2014---but
Why did they drop the VIPER RED----I get so many comments about the VIPER RED we have---Great for visibility too.
Just love the 6-speed transmission-3 cyclinder engine--done away from the heat and boiling gas issues, lower cost maintanence engine----How easy is the battery to access?
Love the real Alternator too---can farkle it up nicely and not worry about electrical issues.
This could be a realy genuine winner---
Will wait a bit though and let others go first--but I might be looking to trade soon! Will see! Only got 2000 miles on my almost 1 year old RTS-SE5 now. *Sigh*
Thanks for the posting Lamont!

Got some more questions for the SpyderMaster.....Lol
1) Will we be able to over-fill the fuel tank, or is there still that canister issue that traps over-filled fuel (fire hazard)?
2) Are they going with new tires or the same stock tires on previous years? Kinda hoping for higher mileage...
3) Do you know the minimum rpm to ride at? I know it will be a lot lower, but there still has to be a min.
4) Is it easier to access the airbox for the filter than before? I hated changing that thing, LOL.
5) I hear that they eliminated the centrifugal clutch, does this mean the electronic shifting is even smoother than before?
And is the "clutch destruction" that plagued previous models heavily minimized?
6) Is the battery just as easy to access as before?
