600 mi. Service Cost?
I though it might be interesting to see how much and where you got you 600mi. service done. Myself I paid $362 @ Velocity Motor Sports in Ladson SC. Where and how much did it cost you?

ASK Powersports, Lancaster, OH. $330.66
I have 2012 Spyder RT-S SM5. I believe if I had a SE5, it would have been more.

LOL So how much did you pay? You are not giving us anything to compare against.

My 2011 RS-S was $225.00. The dealer gave me a 1/2 hr. off on the labor. It was done in Gainesville Georgia and they did a piss poor job. I would have gladly paid $100.00 more to get it right.

I paid $214.80 for 600 mile service on my 2012 RT Limited at Tomberlin Outdoor in Augusta, GA. I would not recommend this dealer, and plan to go to Velocity in Ladson, SC in the future for service. Though $362 sounds a bit high to me. Perhaps they do more than what the 600 mile service calls for.

Well it could have been worse. My selling dealer quoted $600 and they are the ones who left off all the bolts and brackets that were replaced during my service.

Right around $300 seems to be the average going price for the 600 miles service. Unfortunately, the high price of maintainence on our favorite ride can be more pricey than some very expensive car servicing. Wait till you do the valve check/adjustment. That will run you $800-$1000 at most dealers.
Most know, that the costs of servicing the are on my favorite rants list. I have paid more than my share having owned four 's now.
It is even worse when you pay the money and the dealer screws up your by not doing the service carefully or correctly. Okay--back to our normal program.

Normally my dealer would have charged in the low $300.00 for the 600 mile service. However, I opted for the maintenance service policy when I bought my spyder ($1,500.00) and haven't paid a thing. I'll soon be getting my 14,000 mile maintenance for free. This thing will have paid for itself very soon if it hasn't already.

I used to not recommend either pre-paid service policy set ups or extended warranty agreements. Not any more. I will most likely do things differently if there is another in my future.
