Starting w/out the "MODE" button?
Is there anyway around having to press the mode button when starting? I mean, couldn't they program it so that this ceases after 100 times? This is the most asinine thing I've ever seen.

Occasionally my 08 would start without the mode button having to be pressed,
And that would happen After it sat for hours, ''Not'' with a quick restart...
But that was just an abnormally..

Personally; I prefer "Miss July, 2007"

absolutely right ... there's a BUDS routine that compares the number of starts with the number of depressions of the Mode button ... and you know what happens if they don't agree ...

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice ... in practice, however, that's just a theory.

Kinda like the number of dives and surfacings of a submarine, if I recall they should be about equal.

The mode button helps to keep the Spyder off of the crime watch list for getaway cars!

Mode button
Think. Of it as a pre-flight check list

I use the Mode button but never read the card. I'm just a rebel.

I like having to press the mode button. It's one more thing keeping my 11 year old from riding the spyder.

The mode button to the left in front of grip, press it, then start button. No need to push mode button in front above cluster....

Be glad that is all it is. BRP changed the seadoo skis so you have to push the start button, then install the lanyard, then push the start button again to start. Also, don't do it quick or it won't work and you will have to start over! Then if you want to ride it normal and not be stuck in Econ mode you have to push the Econ/sport button twice....haha...wtf!?
It's really stupid....

Probably keep it from being used as a police vehicle too!
