GetAttachment.jpg I was crawling around under my 2011 RT and here is what I found. This is the link for the anti sway bar I have a bajaron and elka shocks . This was a little disconcerting and I called Ron to get his take. From what he knows he has seen 8 or 10 of these break over the years and they are not a lot of money (about $14). I will be watching this as I do not know why it broke. I did ride the dragon kind of hard and the safe mod kicked in maybe 10 times on the 11 miles. I did not have the new shocks only Bajarons anti sway bar at the time so maybe it was broken before. I do not blame either one of these products but only write this to make you all aware that it is something to watch. I have two new ones ordered from BPS online parts store. (great little tool top right of this home page) Ride safe Bill
Yeah, I had the same thing happen, but it was my own dumb fault. $14 and 2 days of down time but all better now. I was surprised that they are made of plastic, but what isn't these days.
I think that they make them out of "plastic" to kind of act as a "Shear pin".
You have to be aware of the positioning of the Anti-SwayBar... if it is contacting that end link; it can cause an issue.
I have had two of them break (one one each side). One broke with the factory sway bar and the other with Ron's bar, so it is not the bar that is to blame. Mine blew out on the end, both looked identical. I replaced them myself and no problems since. Mine were on. 2012 RT Ltd. I wonder if they had a bad batch or something.
Had the same problem with my 2010 RT. I happen to of caused my problem by improperly re-installing the link. The link must be bolted to the tie rod on the INSIDE portion of the tie rod. When installing it, it looks like it lines up bolted to the outside but if you bolt it up that way, when the suspension is depressed, it places the tie rod in a bind. Not saying that you have done this but you might want to be aware of the potential mis-alignment when the new one is installed. Next time you're at your dealer, get under a new RT on the showroom floor and you'll see what I'm talking about.
Where are these links located at? Is it easy to see? What happens if they do break and you are out riding? Any pictures of them in their respective locations ON the Roadster?

If one should break while riding, you can continue on. You will most likely notice that the Spyder will have more sway or lean on the curves, especially if riding two up. Not sure how long my first one was broken before I found it.

Sent from the corner of walk and don't walk....
Went to put on the ron bar and noticed it was already broke which is why it was leaning so easily. thought it was a 2013 issue until i saw that. had to order it so wont get it til after the holliday. so it shoud make a huge difference going from the broken tierod and stock bar to a new tierod with the ron bar. i may have to learn how to ryde again ha. another aftermarket opportunity Ron.

wait a second! if you pop those off you get a leaning spyder?
Remember how the old cars from the late-soxties kind of negotiated corners by leaning all the way over and rubbing the door handles on the pavement?
Oh; you don't?
