My group made it home today.. 722 miles the first day - with storms, stops for accidents, detour for interstate closing, heavy rain, and a dreaded DPS ERROR MESSAGE orange screen at 10pm. day two 350 miles, no rain, no incidents. just tired now but home with the family .. that feels great...

Well, our first Spyderfest is in the books and our first huge event as members of MoGang. We had an awesome time, even with the rain and cold weather. We met so many new friends and really enjoyed talking to everyone and seeing so many Spyders! The most memorable part for me was the recognition ceremony for our veterans. I felt so proud of all of them and humbled to be able to shake their hands and thank them personally for all they have done. We left Springfield and headed home on Sunday morning. Stopped at Cracker Barrel for a late breakfast where we saw some other Spyder friends and then headed on home. No rain, but really cloudy. All in all a great experience at our first fest, and we are looking forward to many more. Hope everyone had safe travels and hope to see everyone again next year for Spyderfest 2014!

Sounds like you could leave a couple of things at home next time. Just don't leave the "equalizers".

Heavy rains in Alabama and Georgia had 8 vehicles wrecked in the median, 1 pickup truck off the road and hanging in the trees, 4 mile back up just after the closed I-20 interchange near Birmingham, 1 3 car wreck with a car upside down, and 2 other wrecks that I counted. The trip home was anything but uneventful to say the least. I am just glad nobody decided to take aim at the trailer and I was able to keep it between the lines all the way.
I had a great time at SpyderFest, but think I may need to extend the trip next year or at least not go to work before attempting to drive all the way there.
I saw the truck in the tree on the news today. Hope your son is feeling better.

Back in Alabama
Hello spyder ryders, I made my journey a 2 day trip. I rode 130 miles on my RT to Leslie, AR to my parents and loaded all my toys on my truck and 16' trailer, left the next morning for Semmes, AL. Had a tire blow out on the trailer near Yazoo City, MS, but made it home before dark and got things unloaded. Looking forward to seeing many of yall at the owners event in June, take care and God bless.

Made it home safe and sound mid-day yesterday after 1504 miles round trip and "excursions in the Ozarks". Sunday was cool and cloudy but mostly dry while yesterday morning the sun was a welcome bright sight for the last 120 miles home! Loved meeting Cruzer Joe, Dave and Teddy and all the others at the Best Western and had a fantastic time, weather and all. Looking forward to the next get together!

We enjoyed our opportunity to make new friends, and hope we can revise the comedy club again next year. Thanks for being there and being part of a goofy crowd.

Made it home late last night. Went 800+ miles yesterday just to get home. Had a great time and met some great people. The rain was not good but made the best of it. Got to see a remarkable thing --- Cruzrjoe came out of his shell and could talk with a group of people. Sorry Joe just had to do it. All in all I went 3500 miles round trip and got a few new things on the bike so all is good.

We made it home this afternoon. We had a few glitches on the way home but we got here safe and sound. On Sunday we were in OK and stopped for gas and a guy in an SUV managed to hit my trailer which pushed me forward and I nearly knocked over my husband on his motorcycle! Then Sunday evening the new Spyder went into Limp Mode. On Monday we were in Albuquerque and I needed gas and when I pulled into the station I was informed that my trailer tire was flat. It wouldn't hold air at all but we were lucky that there was a tire shop just down the street. We had lunch while the tire was fixed and got back on the road in an hour. Today Limp Mode reared its ugly head again and now my brake lights won't go off.
My dogs were really glad to see us and I was just as happy to see them. I love to travel but I also love to get back home. Thanks to Len and the MOGang for an outstanding Spyderfest again.
